I inadvertently purchased a set of tyres with an index rating of 94W compared to the original tyre index rating of 91W.
Would this cause any problems? Read more
Sorry for the long post but I'm at my wits end and no-one seems to be able to help me?

It's not my decision what the OP should do that's entirely up to them. I'm not saying they should keep or sell I'm just pointing out that there our some people on here that like to put down the nissan qashqai whenever someone has a question about one.
Sorry, but this is just a cop out. The OP has come on here asking for advice, so if you are not willing to stick your neck out in favour of keeping the Qashqai, then you are obviously not that confident of their reliability in general. Also, if you are not willing to offer the OP an opinion on what she should do, then there is little point in taking part in this thread....
Your custom is obviously important to them!
As has been said before, mistakes happen, but it's how they are dealt with that's important. Read more
Well I, for one, didn't know that reminder service existed - I tended to rely on the annual road tax reminder in the post to remind me to book a combined service and MOT. And now that doesn't exist i confess I forgot to book the service and MOT this year and only remembered a feww days beforehand.

My new to me 2018 Golf has a leak into the boot. Water is clearly travelling through the rear hatch door handle, behind the rear skin and tracking across the lock into the boot. Googling shows its probably a common failing of a drain pipe costing a fiver. The problem from a DIY point of view is that you need to ease off a lot of fixing clips that are prone to break. So back to the dealer for a warranty repair.
How hard can it be to remove the hatch trim and replace a pipe? Very apparently.... Read more
I can’t understand how a country that built U - boats can’t build a car that doesn’t leak water . All the German car manufacturers seem to be struggling to keep water out . I’ve seen so many models with flooded electronics ( because they locate them under the floor) . The worst one is the Bentley continental , where the main security and start module sits under the passenger seat and gets flooded because the plenum drains get blocked.
I suspect a VW Golf is not designed to sink shipping while submerged.
And how come we had an empire and yet we can’t even manage an indigenous car company? We have to sell them to Johnny Foreigner who then makes the company successful.
My car is intermittently misfiring, usually at motorway speeds. Sometimes it is lumpy on startup for a few seconds too.
Before I did anything, I scanned for codes a cylinder 3 misfire came up. Replaced all coils and plugs, checked wiring and cleared the code, and all was well for a few days. Cylinder 3 is misfiring again now and the same code is coming up.
Someone suggested the crank sensor. Would this really only cause cylinder 3 to misfire?

Oh dear...thank you, I will investigate further! This could get expensive.
So I was caught speeding, 72 in a 60 zone. How will my weekly income be determined? I've been unemployed claiming universal credit for a while, working temporary jobs in between. Not long after I received notice of the fine I completed a paid medical trial and was paid £3000 for roughly one months "work". Will that be taken into account, will I have to work out all I've been paid over a certain period and provide an average figure?

Oh I hadn't realized that. Thanks.
Perhaps this paint scheme will be offered as option for the 2020 Octavia. It would certainly liven up the roads which are now full of cars 50 shades of grey.
No, no, you are out of date there. Tin-coloured cars are very passé now. New cars are white, black or red, all solid colours, it seems. Read more
Many years ago the VW dealer where I used to get my car serviced had one of those Polo Harlequins as a courtesy car. I was there one day when they gave it to a very smartly dresses woman who was dropping off her Audi. She wasn't at all pleased as she said she was visiting customers all day.
So Mark, when are you going to get your own TV programme? Read more
What a thin and superficial review. Seems prejudiced against LRJ from the off.
I need a sofa and like the look of this made in GB with a hardwood frame:

My neighbour was an upholsterer for most of his working life and he is almost 80. He is a lovely chap, very helpful, did a huge amount to help his more elderly neighbours. I think he liked his work too. However, good workers are far and few between. The 203 chair and footstool had been rewebbed using tacks and staples to attach the webbing to the wood, causing damage. I've removed the tacks and staples, and they aren't visible when the chair has the cushions on, but I find it annoying that a trade can bodge a job to save time and money and damage furniture in the process.
Sadly much modern furniture does not last, it's designed to last less than a decade, and people usually want new, regarding secondhand as undesirable. More fool them.
I ran on XL tyres on my diesel Octavia hatch because the 91s were not available at the time for my tyre of choice. As said above there are no problems and I honestly did not notice any difference, apart from the feel of new tyres. I literally swapped to an XL version of the same tyre.
