Hi all,
I've got a very annoying engine squeak coming from my Corsa 1.2 sxi 2013 reg. It usually only happens after it's been running for a while. I've done some research online and contacted someone who had exactly the same noise as me and he resolved it by cleaning the breather pipes.... Read more
If there are no external breather pipes on this one, then the engine breather is likely to be part of the plastic cam box cover.
Admin,
posting a link to auto express who under much pressure from readers have caved in and reported on the problem; although there article is some what weak - nothing for months on this issue from honest john website... Read more
Nothing more sinister than an oversight on our part. One I've now fixed...

Good morning forummers,
After some advice after an unfortunate change of circumstance if any one can help!
I am the the very happy owner of a 15 plate seat Alhambra i-tec and love the space, performance, versatility and practicality of it, we got the car on hire purchase (£303 p/m) in January.
Unfortunately my wife has suffered a nervous breakdown and is taking a career break until her mental health improves and I need to change the car, ideally for the same model.
I would be more than happy with a higher mileage early model (2010/2011) for around £150-200 p/m however I know dealerships generally only keep car which are up to 5 years old or less than 50,000 miles in stock. Can anyone point me in the direction of approved used models and advise as to how the process would go for someone in my circumstances?
Many thanks and happy motoring, Chris

Before going any further you need to get an early settlement figure from your finance company. Depending on how much deposit you put into the deal you may we’ll be in negative equity and will require money to pay this off along with funding a deposit on the replacement.
You’ll find that dealers tend to take advantage of people who are downgrading with low valuations on your own car. It’s likely you’ll be hit quite hard but again the first step is to get a settlement figure then get valuations from dealers and car buying services to see if this is viable.
The cheapest way to find any used car beyond your own savings is via a low cost bank loan. Dealer finance is never competitive and assuming you’re able to get rid of the old car I’d take a bank loan for the replacement. It’ll save you money.
Hi all, first post, hoping can find some good advice.
Have run a 106 1.5 for 10 years and has run perfectly for all that time ... good MPG, starts in under a second, hot or cold weather, zero smoke and always passes emissions.... Read more
You can get a new primer bulb on Ebay all cars for under £3.I would replace anyway because of age.

There is no simple way way to 'switch off' or disconnect the alarm, you will need the services of a good auto electrician.
Hello there,
I have the above car which has leather seats. My problem is with the rear seat, where the base (the bit you sit on) has lifted from it's mounting creating a gap. This is at the end nearest to the nearside door. I have tried securing it down again, but there is nothing it appears for it to clip down into. Can anyone help??... Read more
Thanks,!!
What would you guys say is the best way to get a "sticker" off the back bumper of a Cooper S ?? I definately would call it a sticker rather than a decal. Its a rectangular union flag not that it matters as such.
Its literally only about 3 inches by 2 so not big.....I kinda thought it would come off quite easily but by first attempt at the corner it appears it may not be so simple... Read more

Interesting local news story about a man who sold fake dealer stamps for people to stamp their own service books and in the process forging a proper service history.

The private market is dying. Less people own their cars outright so have to chop in or return them at end of lease. Houses/flats have less spare parking. Continuous insurance and tax causes issues. There have has been an explosion of car buying companies.
Basically, for many people, selling privately is either impossible or not worth the hassle.
Crisco on the Carburettor - A sequel to Fuel On The Roof.
So, having (probably) eliminated the fuel supply as a source of the kangaroo-ing,(see Fuel On The Roof topic) other possible causes I can think of include 1.untracable vacuum leak,2. temporary/part time blockage in carburettor, 3.ignition fault, 4. temporary/part time blockage in exhaust... Since this car sees low use in very high humidity, seems quite likely the fan could be a bit sticky....

The S/N M121757 should have the code
