HI Guys

I've got a 2004 rav4 British Model, VIN IS JTEHH20V7002894
REMOTE IS BAD
It was locked with the remote before remote stopped fuctioning
I can't get security alarm off, once the ignition is turned on the alarm goes on, and the security light stays solid,
I can't get to program a new remote into car cause it won't go into programming mode as alarm is going off,

Anyone knows how I can shut the alarm off or disable it ?
OR
Any other ideas on solving this

Does the vehicle start? & if so, does the alarm still sound?

yes it starts, and alarm still goes off but stops.

It will go off again if vehicle is turned off and then ignition is turned again or door is open

If this is a UK spec car, then it is very likely to be fitted with a Cobra / TOYOTA add on alarm system. The alarm sounder should be mounted below the battery tray on the passenger side . You can unplug the siren and disconnect battery to see if that resets the system.

There is no simple way way to 'switch off' or disconnect the alarm, you will need the services of a good auto electrician.
