Hi can anyone help. Vauxhall Astra starting problem. On minute it start the next it does not. When started runs fine. It has now got engine light on. It switches of and runs fine untill I restart it then back on. Thanks for looking. Read more

So iv only had a fiat punto and a clio both petrol 1.2 but just brought a 2010 BMW 118d I'm a confident driver as expected found the new car very different is 2000 revs doing say 30-35mph in second straining the car or is third too high? I think the story relates to LED bub-substitutes mounted in reflectors not designed for them.The "inherent limitation" relates to this situation, and doesn't imply that LED lights per se are inherently faulty.
I assume you didn't realise that's what I was talking about, where is the limitation, certainly not in power and most led substitutes are not that much brighter than standard bulbs....

Hi thanks for that. Have changed the battery and each time we do a engine diagnostic it gives different options. Have changed a few things but still the same. Not that I like doing it I have given a quick burst of easy start and it starts and runs fine. It's as if it's not getting that first bit of fuel on start up then it's fine. Cheers.
