I fully and completely agree with you. But as you know if there is an action, there is always a counter action too. So following an analogy with venue people tracking in business, artificial intelligence can be successfully used for traffic and road safety too. Likewise, they can use mapping option to reduce traffic load. Read more

Dear all,

I am the owner of an ice resurfacer with a chevrolet v8 engine, 1987, propane fuel with an IMPCO fuel managment system. Motor starts easily but when idling turns off. It works only If i do not leave the throttle pedal, but as you realize this is useless. When I leave the pedal turns off. If the motor goes warm, motor does not turns off but the rpm's are veeeery low. Almost turns off. In that case, using the throttle pedal to raise the rpm's is not changing anything, it goes worse. Very hard to raise the rpm's. It seems I have rich mixture. ... Read more

Are there any other implications I should consider before finally deciding on a (two year old) diesel Focus?... Read more

If i wanted to boot to 90mph i would chose 4th or fifth gear not third. Even at 1500 rpm. A twin turbo diesel is nothing like older diesels....

I've checked fuse board and they all seem fine.

Mirrors, fuel cap, windows and central locking don't work.

There are 2 fuse boxes on these, one in the cabin and one in the engine bay, beside the battery. There should be an emergency release cable for the fuel cap (in the boot),usually a green plastic cable, behind the trim.Check the owners handbook.

I have just done a 1371m 169.12litre brim to brim calculation (36.85mpg) for our 15yr old 1.6 Zetec petrol 110,000m automatic estate which rarely does long motorway journeys.

On this website's real MPG section there is 35.3mpg for a 2014 1.0 Eco 125 estate and 42.7 for a 1.0 100 saloon.... Read more

Personally I can't see these small highly stressed engines doing high mileage without racking up big bills I may be wrong, but for a unstressed power plant there's no replacement for displacement.

There's a whining coming from the power steering I believe when accelerating and turning also there is a leak from somewhere.I've read that it could be a steering rack problem causing it any ideas? The car has been making a single clunck when reverse parking the last few weeks too. Read more

It is often the pump that leaks on these. There is a modified unit, but may also need the modified pipes to go with it.
