Don't take it to a garage and pay the earth. Look on Amazon for an EOBD code reader. You'll be amazed at how cheap they are. They won't solve all your problems, but they will be able to read emission related fault codes and clear them, as well as displaying live data and freeze frame information. They are an essential for any car owner these days.

The tax disc holder has a black lead attached to it which goes down the side of the dash. I've tried to pull it out; but it seem to be attached to something. Any idea what this is? I've phoned a Ford dealer and they said they had never heard of this.

Looking at the engines in the new XC90 I am very concerned at the proliferation of small powerful units in large vehicles. I know that lighter materials are being used but I worry that these motors will be storing problems for the second and third owners. I like larger unstressed motors that can run up hundreds of thousand miles. Read more

Lets hope its a lot more better than the outgoing models. i have had the unwanted pleasure of driving two versions of the current corsa which are the 1.0 and the 1.2 petrol models. they are both horrible cars with no power to speak of. if you ask me they are well overpriced by around £4000 so the price reduction is one small bonus. Oh by the way i normally drive a motability provided astra 2.0cdti sri sports tourer. both times i had a corsa as a courtesy car which apart from the above problem is way too small to get a mobility scooter in the boot. you could not pay me to drive a corsa on a daily basis Read more

Agree totally, don't see what the 'Boy Racers' see in such a woeful engine - apart from the VXR, the bog standard Corsa's do 0-60 in January!

I think the styling is great. I have a mk2 MX5 and like the new car which has gone back to more curvaceous and rounded styling. The mk3 was much angular and squared. Only criticisms are the high boot lid and the sloping bonnet - as with the mk2 it can be hard to judge where the front end rests when parking.

My 13 year-old Mk 3 Grand Espace is superior to this monstrosity because it can comfortably accommodate 7 people plus luggage whereas this is basically a 5 seater with a couple of high chairs in the back. Pity that the modern trend for cars with big wheels but no space is driving out the more practical, less pretentious models of yesteryear. Read more
