Hello everyone,
A bit of a pre emptive question. Fingers crossed as yet my dmf is ok. However when the time comes I was wondering about the pros/cons of replacing it with a single flywheel. In addition what do people think a reasonable price is for having the clutch/ flywheel replaced, both for single and dual variants.
The car has done 64k and consistently returns 50mpg. It is however not a particularly pleasant car to drive around the town, only making sense on the dual carriageways I use it on. I'm aware that single flywheels will make the car more prone to vibration but compared to my other car this car is already coa*** and unrefined.

In auto express this week they have a feature on the 100 best cars and what to pay.
In your bracket
Skoda Citygo list price £9130, dealing at £8765
Hyundai i10 list price £9345, dealing at £8317
However I found Drive the deal to be about the best and used it to batter my dealer with their quote.
Bought this car, from a local dealer, last November.
Had 11,500 miles on the clock, now 13,500.... Read more

You need two special tools to remove the binacle cheap on ebay you then need to test the leads to see if the have voltage on the appropiate pins .If you need a new binacle then there are umpteen versions so make sure you get the right one. These need putting on the MB computer to match to the cars ecu not a cheap exercise lets hope its just a fuse or something simple like a loose plug.

clicking sound from rear of parcelbox in passenger footwell, narrowed it down to climatronic when I press the recirc/ button the clicking stops for a sec then starts in a diff/ tone I have managed to stop it by randomly pressing buttons, it starts on it's own, or when ignition is switched on. not a const/ click but a pattern to the clicking. it seems to be switching the air intake? P.S the car gets little use over a year!! Read more
I would suspect the recirc flap actuator flap mechanism is broken.Take the glove box out and disconnect the electric motor.Make sure you manually open the flap to the fresh air position. You can see the position of the flap if you remove the pollen filter housing, under plastic cover, rear of engine bay.hth

Cheers Peter. Yep I'm hoping to run the car to 150k, based on my daily commute of 100 miles, 70% of which is dual carriageway. I thought that with the amount of dmf bashing and tales of woe where these things are concerned there would be a number of people with experience here.
I'll make a few phone calls to see what I can find out.
