Going by the rave reviews and my own experience of the current car, Mazda seems to be on to a winner with this 6. Gains made in efficiency and emissions are impressive and make 6 the class leader.
I won't be surprised to see the new Mazda 6 cut into Ford Mondeo and VW Passat's share of the market and in addition lure entry-level buyers away from Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class. Read more

I purchased a kia ceed in march 2012, it has just been in for a service, the first time since i purchased the car, only to find there is no locking wheel nuts. What are my options? Read more
If it has steel wheels there will be no locking wheel nuts, if it has alloys it should have them.
The locking wheel nuts are not fitted at the factory, they are fitted by the dealer during the pdi, the box they come in should be in the boot or glovebox with the wheel nut key.
We've had some snow where I live, not too much mind, the sensible wheels and Michelin Primacy tyres on the S-Type mean it gets on perfectly fine despite being RWD.
However I do enjoy seeing clips on the local news of posh pansies with their low-profile BMW's sliding back down the hill.... Read more

Heard so many bad reports about Ford dealers in the North East - worried - Anyone any recommendations of a good (cheap) dealer in the North East of England that is capable of doing a first service on an S-Max? any comment welcome
When the first service on the S-Max is done the software on the on board computer needs updating - cant seem to find out what software is in (to check that it has been done) or some idea if there is an update available
Rang both Ford customer care and Ford customer relations but they tried but could not find out ( got the technical info centre number 0906 5533447 but thats a premium rate £1 a min number and based on the fact that other people in Ford dont know may be wasting my money
Anyone any ideas?

(tony g: I'm not entirely sure what you are asking here, you appear to be suggesting that if a dealer supplies a vehicle which has been stolen, written off etc, that it is up to the seller to have checked all of this first and therefore it must be their fault? )
Hi hp ,
I'm not asking anything ,what I'm saying is that car buyers to often don't make any attempt to protect themselves .
The information on HPI ,VOSA and Soga ,is readily available ,yet to many buyers don't make any effort to do the necessary research .They still ask me what's HPI ,and what's the certificate /check that I offer .Im not suggesting buyers should do the check themselves ,but as a minimum they should know what the checks represent .
Don't forget thar SOGA only comes into play when a problem occurs ,buyers seem to know less about SOGA than they do HPI .Dont believe me ,check out the number of posts in the legal section asking what are my rights now I've bought a problem car .
Why buy from a dealer ?part exchange is one of the major reasons .
I've had a couple of strange incidents with APCOA parking recently at my local station.
I usually pay by phone for my parking. I forgot my phone one day and the payment machine where I park has been removed (handy!). There is another payment machine on the other side of the platform but I didn't have time to get over there and back. I received a ticket. I wrote to APCOA to explain and they replied saying there is another parking machine and I should have looked harder (I've now located it and its right down the very far end of the car park out of sight). They tried to charge me an increased fee of £50. I challenged this and said I had queried it within 14 days so shouldn't it be £25. They put me on hold then came back and said I was right, their system was wrong.... Read more
As I understand it ACPOA are registered as being approved by the British Parking Association.

Hi I have recently bought a 96 Mazda 323f 2.0 V6 24V. Great little car however recently there has been a strange loud tapping like noise coming from the main engine block. I have had many different opinions of what it could be: 'The oil needs changed' or one of the valves could be blocked . Basically the car sounds like a Diesel, although the car still drives ok, the water and temp are fine, the oil is still at the right level etc...however i hace been told it may be the type of oil in the car that is the problem, I am going to change the oil this weekend and see if it makes any difference, but thought I would ask on here first just in case anyone knows of any known issues or similar issues with mazda's or 323's?
Thanks Nick Read more
Guys..thanks so much for all your help.
Pages like these are invaluable. Timing belt and tappets are two things that have been mentioned by a few people who have looked at it...The Tappets were my first guess when I first heard it to be honest but like you said none of these to be ruled out until checked properly. Also thanks for the link to the website I will certainly head over there. I just hope it is something minor and not the beginning of the end of a nice example of a V6 323....Thanks again folks. ...
Here's a debate for a cold winter's day. Let's take a Mondeo as an example. The new one is now scheduled for a 2014 launch, the current one came out in 2007.
If looking to buy a new Mondeo, would it be better to buy one of the last 2007 new models in December 2013, or wait a month and buy the new, new 2014 version?... Read more
Generally I'd go along with RT - just to add that it depends to some extent on whether you want or need the features that the new model has and the old one doesn't.

Thanks for the replies,
I get an intermitent miss fire (usually in 2nd gear) and as the car is kept outdoors in all our weathers and is also in very little use (900 miles last year) i was going to clean all electric renew plugs and coil to see if this would help....
