Apologies if this subject has been covered before...

Is there any truth in the popular generalisation that modern BMW cars handle badly in winter conditions?... Read more

Thunderbird, those 'idiots' that you class as "not listening to what they have been showed" I think you will find that since they are being shot at and suffer IED's regularly most definately 'DO' listen oo their training, muppet.

Ok we get the story you 'driving gods' in Germany on your winter tyre BMW's that could drive to Stalingrad !...

Can anyone help with some random central locking problems I am having?

I find sometimes the doors will not unlock via the keyless entry method and I have to press the button on the key card (however, the boot always seems to open via keyless entry?).... Read more

A constant whine or whistle comes from near the accesory belt of my C3. I have heard this on a limited number of other C3s. My local garage ( not Citroen) took the drive belt off and ran the engine but say the whine was still there, anyone else come across this one. Read more

Hi there!
I'm a newbie so forgive my knowledge !
I need some advice as to what to expect for being arrested for a drunken crash I have had.Basically I crashed my beloved seat Leon into a traffic light pole after downing 4 cans of Speciel brew and lost control and hit it.
I was kept within the car by 2 members of the public(and quite rightly so) but when the police arrived apparently I swung for one of the guys who trapped me in the car to which I was duly taken to the floor and handcuffed .

I gave a reading of 104 and pleaded guilty straightaway( obviously) fully co operated after the incident it is a first time motoring offence in 23 years of driving and ive been a TOTAL ASS in doing this stupid thing and I am a clinical depressive and an alcoholic and have never even attempted to drive before whilst drinking, I'm up in court soon and have hired a brief(yet to meet/speak)
But I need to know what punishment I should expect?

My life is in ruins and just don't know what to do:-( Read more

If you blew 104 this will put you in the high risk category and you will have to have a medical in the three months before your licence is due back.

Local garage found that I had a split intercooler pipe. However they were unable to clear fault codes p0380 p0490 and p042F. I wondered if taking it to the maindealer will clear codes when they do up to date downloads. Already spent a lot of money on my 2007 tdci. Just wondered if anyone can point at what else might be the problem if this fails. Thanks Read more

Why cant the garage delete the fault codes ? iether its because the fault codes are permenant ! ie they havent fixed the fault or they dont have the correct kit ! ie just using a basic EOBD code reader.

The codes relate to glow plug circuit & EGR valve stuck closed & one code may be EGR stuck partial open....

I have to agree with Bilboman. Buying a used diesel is a lottery. I watched my neighbour's son 'drive' her new beloved Golf TDi for 8 months racing it from cold and screeching into the driveway on two wheels shutting down the engine with the turbo still spinning gasping for oil. As I said, it lasted 8 months before the engine blew - it's none of my business so I haven't told her why her car was written off!

There's also the risk that a used diesel has been mis-fuelled of course and the seller is hardly going to tell you!

I will write to Citroen UK, who incidentally just passed the buck back to my local dealer, and insist they make the dealer aware of the tyre diameter calibration.

You must have put on some pretty big wheels to make (more than) 10% difference to your apparent speed. Is the display digital or a 'traditional' meter? Surely the problem is in the calibration somewhere?

You have the "Knock for Knock" agreements that existed until about 20 years ago for keeping young drivers prices down and the introduction of no win no fee about the same time for putting the prices up further.
