I had a knocking in my front suspension which turned out to be a lose drop link bolt. I had new drop links fitted by the garage in March last year (2009) and when I spoke to them about this they said it was too long ago for them to be able yo do anything about it. My question is if the work was done properly with new nuts used and tightened to the specific torque, should this have really happened and should I challenge them further about this? Read more

Hi all,
Have got a 2000 1L Corsa B that seems to have a few problems. On its MOT It just passed the fast idle CO test (1st test fail - 0.36 2nd pass - 0.30). When idling the engine sounds rough, as though its about to stall but never actually does.... Read more
Faulty lambda sensor seems most probable to me, but that wouln't stop it starting. Could be an injector or the MAF, the coolant temperature sensor, or (I'm not sure about this; an exhaust leak?).
The EGR valve normally needs cleaning after 60,000....
Glad to find this information. Of course students want to have their own car and most often it is budget. Because students have quite a lot of expenses and their financial situation is very unstable. I personally found www.masterpapers.com/paper-help to write my assignments. It freed up some time and I can find a part-time job for myself. Read more
Trying to fix a problem with door central locking system. Started removing inner door trim but am stuck as can't find out how to remove the window winder handle (windows are manual not electric drive).
Removed bottom screws, side panel clips, and door pull handle ok but can't go any further as cannot find out how to remove the manual window winder handle. I had thought there was a pull clip at back of the handle hub but all I can find there is a sort of rubber insert ring (looks like it might be some sort of spider ring) which I don't want to force in any way but can't see if this is what I need to remove to release the handle. If it is, how do I remove it ? If this will not solve my problem what do I do to remove the handle ?... Read more
The bottom front spoiler has been stolen off the Anni. Got to pay to repair it myself as the no-claims position will be worse than the potential cost of replacement.
What are the pros and cons of replacing it with either an ABS or a fibreglass one? The car is a very good example and a genuine Anni, I'm likely to be hanging onto it for some time. Read more
my 1.8 diesel focus 56 plate just started making like a wooshing noise when i rev the car. here,s how it goes.
it sounds like its coming from the air vents inside the car when driving. this only happens when we rev the car hard and the turbo is working. i thought maybe a ppipe had come off on the induction side of things but doesnt seem to have. any idea,s folks please. Read more

Hello,i suppose the article is right regarding agression and being timid. We drive a car to travel from A to B.Not to intimidate or or throw our weight about.I have more sympathy with timid drivers.

We run a diesel at the moment but in the future if lpg is still avalable and the price is ok i might go back to lpg.£800 is cheap for the conversion. Its very clean the only downside i found the lpg tank takes room in the boot. The police cars here where i live drive on lpg Protons they never seem to have any problems engine wise like you say its not for everyone.
