Trying to fix a problem with door central locking system. Started removing inner door trim but am stuck as can't find out how to remove the window winder handle (windows are manual not electric drive).

Removed bottom screws, side panel clips, and door pull handle ok but can't go any further as cannot find out how to remove the manual window winder handle. I had thought there was a pull clip at back of the handle hub but all I can find there is a sort of rubber insert ring (looks like it might be some sort of spider ring) which I don't want to force in any way but can't see if this is what I need to remove to release the handle. If it is, how do I remove it ? If this will not solve my problem what do I do to remove the handle ?
