As a child, i remember my Gran having a biege-coloured pot dog (Alsation) i think, stood on a flight of 5 steps. When Gran died this dog came to us, and i remember one wet Saturday afternoon Dad decided "we" were going to paint it!. I dont know what was in the old fella`s wild Woodbines, or in my childish imagination, but this hound ended up in orange and green camoflage pattern! - 48 years on, it`s sat at the side of my hearth, still in that livery, tatty, chipped,and faded, but evert time i look at it, i can still remember that afternoon, as if i was still there! - i will never part with it!

This Saturday morning will be travelling on hols from Nottingham to Ferry at Southampton. looks like my TomTom will take us very close to the Silverstone Circuit. I see Silverstone are hosting the Grand Prix this sunday and the track open all weekend. should I stay clear of the area on Saturday or is it just Sunday thats likely to be busy. Or anyone familar with an alternative route.

I have a 2005 L200. 12 months ago it suffered catastrophic alternator failure which also made light work in ruining the battery. The RAC were great and they got all the parts and bits and it was fixed with new alternator and battery. Almost exactly 12 months later, and after only 3000 miles, the vehicle has suffered an identical failure. Does anybody know if there have been 'issues' with Mitsubishi alternators? If this is not the case, does anyone have any bright ideas of possible cause, other than pure bad luck? Read more

we in Cumbria (who were flooded not long ago) now have a hosepipe ban, whilst all our luvly soft water from Thirlemere is being piped down to Manchester who haven`t (as far as i`m aware) got a ban.
Anyway, whats the difference between a hosepipe and a metal pipe apart from the material? if its ok to ship water via a metal pipe to the Manc`s then i can use a metal pipe to water my allottment of rare orchids.
