We have taken teh car to almost every garage and trye place in aldershot/farnborough and no one can do it. we have called out the AA and they cant do it. Does anyone know anything about the number plate on Alex Polizzi's Audi on the Hotel Inspector. It appears to spell POLIZZI. Read more

I agree with Muggy - it is definitely fake number plate, POLI ZZI plate is only featured at the beginning of the show, however later in the show the same car appears with standard plates reading OE09 MMF which is DVLA registered black Audi 2009.

I have not known diesel to degrade but you could try feeding some fresh stuff straight into the pump. Does it actually run on easystart? if so it sounds as though the pump timing is retarded, although I can't see how. How old is the cambelt?

Hi all, looking for some suggestions (or confirmation!) about a problem my sons Mini One 1.4D is experiencing. Symptoms are:

Recently he had a couple occasions when the electrical system would fail completely and without warning, but the fault was very random and infrequent. However, yesterday he parked it on the drive and went back out to it about 10 minutes later and it would not start - nothing, battery was flat. I connected jump leads to it from my car and we couldn't get it to jump either - whilst the ignition lights came on they were flashing on and off and and we couldn't get the engine to turn - just the solenoid click.... just us after the battery went flat and it wouldn't start, so after the fault manifested. Apart from that no.

I have an 04 plate Saab 95 2.2 turbo diesel, that has started to run very rough. it has 55,000 on the clock, and was serviced @50,000. it starts without any problem, and runs well until it gets up to temperature, then it runs very rough, blows too much smoke, and is using too much fuel (down from av. 45 mpg to 38 mpg). When running, it accellerates ok, but when it is held on a steady thottle, you can feel the engine hunting, and it blows a lot of smoke, can anyone help me? Read more

When cold the CAT is not even in operation yet: it starts working only when fully warm. If it is clogged then the engine will run erratically both under load and with static accelerator pedal, as well as smoke copiously.

EGR is also another suspect, but as said before I doubt it has one at all.
