Should I put the remaining 3 litres in?... Read more

I'm with 659FBE on this one, particularly as you have not mentioned overpressurised coolant pipes or blowing out of the expansion pipe. Check there is not coolant in the bottom of the fuel filter indication the Feul heat exchanger has become porous. Regards Peter
Looking for front discs and pads for my CMax. Local motor factors can do APEC for £96. APEC are OK and have used them before. However, there are Mintex disc & pad kits available on ebay for around £65 inc p&p.
I find my local factor's prices are around the same as ebay. Works out less when you include delivery.
My wife's car was recently reversed into by a coach when she was stationary in the road (£2500 damage)allowing a car coming the other way to come by the coach. The coach driver admitted he had reversed into her at the time.
During the claim negotiations, her insurer(A.A.) said that no coach driver has any obligation to provide a statement on any accident he/she is involved in except to a Court of law. This is grossly unfair as it means that all claims against a coach company are not worth proceeding with unless independent witnesses are available. The A.A. has therefore instructed my wife to accept 50/50 liability as they will not pursue the matter through the Courts without witnesses.... Bus claims are always tricky as they are often self-insured and fight every one. It is also a lesson as to why you should never let your insurer handle any claim - but particularly a non-fault claim.

Hi,
Lucy - i understand what you mean but the only problem us Mazda drivers face is extremely poor customer service. Everyone who i have spoke to that has had problems with their cars they told me either Mazda tried to take them for a lot of money or they basically lied to them....
The other day i found that all 3 of my brake lights have stopped working, i've done the usal checks, Fuse, bulbs. No other lights are affected - Indicators, reverse, fog, side lights all work.
Find it strange how its just the brake lights that have failed. Where do i start?
Is this something i may be able to do myself or is it a garage Job? Read more
If it's the switch, which is a common failure point on these cars, take advice before fitting a new one.
It's a 5 minute job, but there is a fair chance of breaking the new switch if you fit it wrongly. The procedure varies according to which version of the switch you fit....
Tried to start my corsa and a warning light showing the letter " F " illuminated and car wouldnt start. Contacted my local garage (not vauxhall) and they didnt know what it was.

Get a competent auto electrician to check for voltage drop between the alternator output terminal and the battery. There is an ill-designed and located fuse in this circuit which develops high resistance joints due to the effects of thermal cycling, poor location and very bad detailing.
If the system voltage remains low after start up due to this problem, the steering assist may be lost....
