  • Citroen DS and ID (1955 - 1975) (Classics Reviews)
The Citroën DS remains one of the most extraordinary cars ever created, and is still capable of turning heads more than half a century after it first appeared. Its ‘Goddess’ name – ‘Deesse’ in French – was entirely justified because it did seem to be from
  • Citroen DS Safari (1958 - 1975) (Classics Reviews)
The Citroën DS Safari, introduced in 1958, certainly made great use of all of the advantages thrust upon it to make a great load carrier - long wheelbase, compact self-levelling suspension and front wheel drive. As well as having a huge luggage capacity it was also capable of being a seven
  • Citroen DS Decapotable (1958 - 1973) (Classics Reviews)
. The mechanics and any improvements mirrored those of the saloons during the years but the looks were far more eye-catching, with the open-top, two-door format and long, sloping tail giving an almost sports car look. However, at twice the price of the saloon, the DS cabriolet needed to be special. Only 1365 were

  • lights out all over the place 24 Nov 2001 (Forum)
There have been a few threads about lights recently, but nothing about checking the little s*ds to see if they work, and foglight boys, it's no use switching them on to create an impression if only one works. These few tips may be well known, but if they are not, here goes. I'm personally
  • The greats... 28 Jan 2002 (Forum)
This made my day (it's raining), I just saw a pristine Citroen DS with pre-suffix plates (so that makes it over 40). It still looks the business. Most modern stuff will look rubbish by the time it's 4!

  • Citroen DS - Any experience? 13 Jun 2003 (Forum)
I'm kind of thinking that I've got a lot of enjoyment out of my two Rover P6's that it might be time to move on to a new challenge. I've always liked the Citroen DS. My own knowledge is a bit patchy but I know that I'll probably go for a 21 Super 5 as it's by far the most popular one sold

of it's time in all areas except build quality and space. Jaguar E-type and XK120 - Beautiful looks and real performance and at half the costs their exotic rivals. I would sadly rule out the Citroen DS because its design and engineering were not a strong influence on other carmakers.
  • New C6 3 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Will Citroen's new C6 follow in its great line of quirky, interesting large cars? I thought the DS, SM and XM were all great, but never had to own one, so perhaps that's just as well. Surely modern computers ought to allow citroen to produce a different (i.e. not German or Japanese) but reliable
