Itmust have been stolen to order - they are not exactly the type of car your average scrote will nick to get back from a night in the pub are they? Either it has been nicked to be broken for parts, or it has been exported to the U.S. where no doubt it will sell for silly money.
I really do hope that the owner gets it back though - as a lover of all things old and historic it would be such a shame if another piece of our motoring history simply vanished into the ether.

Only thing I can think of, is doing what you've done - tell all your friends. A usual upside of the net/www - word travels.
