Glow plugs only used for cold start when ambient temperature below 5 degrees C . From your description, it’s very likely to be injectors in trouble. Not uncommon on this engine.
Alarm keeps going off, even when I lock the car via the drivers door, not using the fob. I have been told that the alarm system runs off it own battery. If this is so I would appreciate any advice as to how I can disconnect without having to pull fuses, which could possibly cause more problems. Thanks in advance. Drifter Read more

If a car bottomed out, what parts would be damaged other than say the suspension links, would the shocks go as well? (Near side or off side). Read more
8s this about driving a car down a hole in the road in Essex? If so, it's quite hard to imagine why a shock absorber on the offside would be damaged by the nearside wheel going down a hole. I suppose the ARB could send a bit of force that way, but it's unlikely that the offside of the car would hit the ground before the sump did.
