Hi firstly hello to everyone,

Can anyone please tell me all the torque settings for the front suspension especially the lower arm wishbone and the sway bar bush bolts that come up from below to hold the main bush in place.... Read more

Sorry I don't know the technical term, but the water squirter on my Toyota seems to have gone wonky. It appears to be on a ball joint and it is supposed to squirt backwards and forwards across the windscreen following the wiper. Recently it seems to have gone out of synch, it is not reaching across the passenger side and only squirts on the drivers side (thankfully!) I think this is a probably a simple fix if you know what to do! Can anyone give me some advice please? Read more

Thank you for all your replies and apologies for not replying sooner. It is squirting fine, just not in the right direction! I will have a fiddle with it, it might just need re-directing.

I just want to turn off the things that Brake for me, steer for me and tell me when I need a rest.

The problem is, if I touch or knock any wheels, buttons or touch pads, I want to know how to correct what they will be doing, before I am on a long journey, at speed....

Had a clear out of my garage over the bank holiday weekend and found at least 4 sets of jump leads . Does anyone use these anymore? I’ve got 2 of those power booster packs which seem to do the job adequately. Read more

I discovered the one in Cockermouth when on holiday. It even sells used hand tools and I bought an old manual drill for sentimental reasons. The free museum section is interesting too……..well to this old git it was.

my brother lives in Canada and as he ages wants to spend up to 5 months in UK during our milder winters. He wants to buy a used car - register and insure it for that time. He will be staying in a park home facility once he has purchased one. If he can't use that address can he register a car with DVLA. c/o my address? He has a permanent address in Canada. He passed his test in UK and is a UK and Canadian Citizen. Can he use my address for registration and insurance purposes? the car will have a SORN when he is in Canada and will be stored on my drive. Many thanks. Read more

Mazda diesels are infamous for problems with the diesel emissions systems leading to on some occasions huge repair costs.

Even Toyota have had problems with their Yaris diesels so what chance does any other manufacturer stand?... Read more

I recently purchased a used car from a dealership in the Greater London area. When I arrived to collect the car it was filthy and I had to wait for it to be valeted prior to driving away (I should have known from that moment to walk away).

Since I took ownership of the car within the first 6 months I had issues with leaks on the radiator, air conditioning issues, radiator light on every time the car starts and now finally it seems the timing chain has a problem.... Read more

My CX-30 has just hit 3 years old and the manufacturers warranty has now expired. I have been quoted around £350 to extend this for another year. I wasn't going to bother but got a call from Mazda warranty people yesterday to remind me it was now out of warranty and did I want to take out the extended warranty. It has made me think again about taking this out but should I stick to my original decision? This has probably been covered on here a number of times before but I would just like to hear opinions on extended warranty schemes. Read more

Assuming you have had your servicing done by the dealer-I would forego the extra warranty and invest the £350 towards another next dealer service. If anything needs “warranty” attention in the next year, then you can say-“I’ve totally maintained it according to Mazda guidelines etc?
