The TPMS shows individual tyre pressures on the instrument display, That's a big like!

Have you checked that it is accurate? With a good direct measuring device, that is?...

Sounds like a wheel bearing noise. Is it worse or better if you turn the steering when on the move?

How many of these Fiestas do you have ? You posted the same problem earlier this morning? At 09:44.

I'm going to view a 2015 Zafira Tourer this morning but I've looked at the latest MOT and saw an advisory saying "Oil leak, but not excessive". How concerned should I be? Would it be best to avoid it? Read more

Oil leak can mean anything from a minor problem such as a rocker gasket or sump washer to a cracked casing or serious gasket failure. If its a car you want then you (or a mechanic) needs to have a really good look to see what the problem is and negotiate accordingly.

The trouble is with crowded modern engine bays its not always easy for an amateur to be sure whats amiss.

My son was involved in a crash with a merc performing a 3 point turn today.

He was driving along the road and there was a merc ahead, side ways across the road. There were cars parked on the sides of the road, blocking the view. He assumed the merc was pulling backwards into a driveway or a parking space.... Read more

We're definitely not making a claim. It's just not worth the hassle.

The damage initially looked a lot worse than it actually is. The door is lightly dented at the bottom. There were massive scratches down the side, but most turned out to be the other guy's paint/plastic, which we cleaned off. He's okay with leaving it as is, so we won't be repairing it at all.

I'm in the market for a new used car and have just viewed a 2013 40k Honda Jazz that drove beautifully and which has an exemplary Honda history. I had an extended test drive of it and the only 'negative' (apart from its colour!) was a very occasional, momentary whiff of Hydrogen Sulphide if i opened the windows. I mean that 'bad egg' smell... I've never enecountered this in a car before. Could it mean the cat is on its way out? Read more

Honda cats are good for at least 100k miles. Is the car at a dealer? perhaps it has been standing for a while.?

No-one can help you unless you say which engine your C-Max has.

Well can you disable the remote on this new car so that it does not emit a signal similar to some new Mercs. HJ seems to miss the point on todays question and just repeats previous knowledge on remote keys

don't know the Ford but on Toyotas you can disable the keyless entry system from the head unit or on newer models than I had you can disable the keys continuous transmission via button presses.

Of course if thieves are willing/able to smash windows & access OBD sockets with a laptop they can steal pretty much any modern car (unless fitted with something like a Ghost).

But given i drive a van for my job, and as an ex bus driver, it always amuses me when people talk about poor rear visibilty on a car (through the rear screen) meaning, or implying it to be unsafe. I am always acutely aware of what is going on behind me despite having solid rear doors.

I used to have an HGV licence (everyone should have to do one imo, great for improving your observation/anticipation amongst other things) so I fully understand where you are coming from. :P
