That is fantastic news.
All potential buyers must be informed of the car history for their own safety and the safety of the public. All dangerous cars must be removed from the public road.
There are unscrupulous vendors out there who are only interested in the profit they make from unwary customers and some lie to get a sale. This is a long awaiting piece of legislation.
There should be more information available to all potential second hand buyers so they can make a safety decision for themselves, their family and the public. Read more
Surely clockers of vehicles leased with an element of mileage charge in particular are assiduous enough to clock miileage before every service or any other occassion when they can anticipate some formal record being created?
Do not the electronic systems reveal if clocking has taken place? I understand it is not unusual for reputable franchise garages to offer customers the option of rese tting to the proper mileage. Read more
If the car is over three years old then you can check the MOT history of the vehicle free of charge. As pointed out above, the mileage is logged every time it is MOTd.

Hi I've a question regarding brake servo on my car. I seem to be losing assistance from servo if I use the brakes quickly in succession. I've pulled off the vacuum pipe going into the servo and when suck through it I can't get a vacuum just keep drawing air. I'm sure that means the diaphragm has gone but just wondering if I'm missing something. Any advice appreciated ?? Read more

Cheers Steve, I actually changed the oil& filter at weekend, I got a mann filter from europarts, and used 5/30 fully synthetic oil which I think is VAG 507 variable servicing compliant.
The hardest part was the under engine covers, I have run up ramps in my garage which helps getting underneath, but I do miss the pits from work,...I retired a couple of years ago....
Good evening,
Since owning this car, on average the oil has been changed at approximately 6k intervals using VW Qunatum oil to 504/507 spec fully sythetic. Mileage is know 70k should I use an oil flusing agent at next oil service, is so what is recommended. I am told the best on the market is BG245.... Read more

A few seconds on eurocarparts came up with 2 possible belts, which one depends on the engine code.
I'd suggest looking on the VIN plate, and get the engine model code to make sure you get the correct belt ?
I bought a 15 plate Nissan Juke from Volkswagen Dumfries in Dec 2016 with very low miles. When I bought the car I was instructed that should I break down there is a phone number on a sticker on the windscreen and that I had breakdown assistance cover
On Friday 15th September having driven to a Dumfries supermarket 30 miles away the car would not start to return home. The battery was dead.
I phoned the number on the sticker, I was told the salesman lied to me and I do not have roadside assistance. and that I should phone Nissan as the car was still under their warranty. I explained that I did not have their phone number and that I had limited credit on my phone. I was again told I didn't have cover and to phone Nissan. I said you can't leave me stranded on a car park.
SHE HUNG UP ON ME
With the help of some very nice people I got the car started and went to the Nissan Garage who fitted a brand new battery
Once home I checked the Volkswagen paperwork from when I bought the car, it does in fact state I have roadside assistance. I have removed the useless VW “advertising” stickers from my car
A couple of weeks earlier I got an e mail from Volkswagen saying my car was due a service. I replied, How much for the service?. They replied they can't quote a price as they don't know what car I have.
I asked the question, If you don't know what car I have, how do you know it needs a service?
I sounded like a scam to me so I spammed their e mail but I continued to get e mails telling me my car is due a service. note, it is NOT due a service

Unfortunately, we're assuming your mental recollection of a conversation 9 months ago is perfect.
The salesman could well have said "You still have breakdown cover with Nissan", and you've just misheard this, especially in the excitement of the new car collection feeling....
Hi I expect its obvious, I had an answer to a question - a big thanks... but now I cannot find either its probably obvious can you advise?

To me as ell, this is probably spam, as they 'asked the technical guys' (whoever they are) as well, who surely would be better suited to answering this 'question'. Surely the OP would've been far better off posting on the many computer mag forums dedicated to such things.
