Good lord. So someone buys a car where the nearest dealership is 25 miles away. They then expect a service recall for no cost to them work to mean getting the car to the dealer and back should be at the dealer's cost.
Are these people for real? Incredible. Read more
I was amazed about the cases of auto stop/start vehicles restarting after being parked and locked. On my Megane if auto stop is activated on parking as soon as I open the door the auto stop is cancelled. I can't believe a premium car does not have this safeguard.

With this and any other dashcam ensure you get a decent card, and that doesn't mean stick with brands you have heard of. Transcend 32GB High Endurance is still only around £18 and very highly rated by a lot of dashcam people. Cheap (or fake) cards will make the dashcam freeze and you won't even know about it - this includes lots of well known brands. Don't go by brand name alone! Read more
I agree with dombat's comment about dashcam no 2. I have had the same problem on more than one occasion and I was NOT happy about it
Hi Guys,
Not sure if there is anything in this, but I just received a letter from my insurance company saying they have closed my complaint down, so wanted to see whether it was worth persons any further.
When my car insurance came up for renewal in November, i recieved all the renewal paperwork through and noticed that a previous motoring conviction was not displayed on the list. I called them up to query this as I had previously mentioned it to them.
When I called up they said that the conviction was not included in the price. They looked into this and confirmed it was their fault that it had not been included and left it there. They did however say that they would not keep the renewal price and increased it by around £1000.
At the time they said they would not keep the renewal price down, although my argument was that I wouldn't have purchased the car should I have known the accurate insurance quote.
Do you feel as though this is something worse perusing to get the money back?
Thanks for your help

Hi there
Any advice would be much appreciated on this.
I bought a 2012 X3 M Sport Xdrive Auto a few months ago. It was advertised as having Bluetooth however after getting it home I discovered it didn't. As compensation the dealership (after a lot of effort) agreed to install a Hands Free Parrot Kit (MKI9200).
It was installed yesterday. When I got the car home I realised that the rear reverse camera is now not working (blank screen - an error message coming up on the dash 'reverse camera failure'). I immediately assumed that in installing the Parrot Kit, the technician has knocked out the reverse camera as it was working when I dropped the car off.
I have spoken with the dealership and they are wiping their hands of it. The technician claims he did not touch the reverse camera wiring as it is entirely separate from the Parrot Kit wiring. I do not have the knowledge to disagree, so any advice from the forum would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

A ferrite core might be the simple solution.
I don't own a Baleno but I do think that Suzuki are leading the pack when it comes to RealMPG.
Last week, I drove my Suzuki Celerio SZ4 up North and back. I covered 546.2 miles on exactly 32 litres of Tesco Unleaded. That's an amazing 76.85 mpg!! Yes, I accept that it was primarily motorway driving at a sedate 55 mph but on the other hand, the car had me & the wife in it and was fully loaded with the usual stuff you have to cart around when visiting The Rellies. In truth, I'm a bit narked that the mileage wasn't a bit higher on account of 20 minutes worth of semi-stationary traffic jams on the A6. At one stage the trip computer was predicting a range of 600 miles!

My wife has had her i10 for 3 years and has been so pleased with it that she has decided to upgrade to a new or almost new i10. Going to have a change of colour as there are an awful lot of white ones!

Everyone seems to be fooled by the base price but by the time it is specified up it is only a good deal compared with its cousin VAGs Tiguan.
Although most SUVs are bought as 4x2 drive it should not be an excuse to down grade the chassis which is what SEAT have done using a cheaper less effective torsion beam rear suspension. Read more
We liked the one we took on a test drive but they do seem in short supply at the moment and do suffer from the modern scam of 'any colour as long as its blue or white' unless you want to fork out another £550+ for a decent colour. Who started this colour scam and when I wonder? The 3 cylinder engine (what I call lawn-mower engines) seemed willing enough with just us two in but I suspect with a full load on a long journey, you'd want the bigger engine (at a much bigger price of course). It does look great though, unlike so many 'Euro jelly molds' around at the minute. Our search for a new car continues. Byelane Bill
I've clocked up 51 years of driving. Forty years of that on the roads of Australia driving automatics. Coming from a motorcycle and light plane background, I've always left foot braked. Been invaluable on a number of occasions when someone does something silly, that requires an immediate response.
