I have removed the original CD/radio from my daughters Micra, which was easy enough after watching the YouTube video, and have fitted a JVC unit in it's place.
What I want to know, is besides the ISO connectors there is also another connector that won't connect to the new unit. The car doesn't have steering wheel controls or multichanger, so was wondering if anyone knows what it is for.... Read more

I can't think why the BMW driver having just joined the motorway, didn't quickly accelerate clear of the lorry.
Couple of problems have cropped up on my modus
first is that the headlights seem to turn themselves on at random times, apparentley there is a safety feature that the car will turn the headlights on when you turn corners to give more visibility. To be honest this is a b***** nusance, and I like to turn my lights on when I feel the need to use them, not everytime I indicate.... Read more

@Barry Sounds the most likely causes. Reverse often being the worst.
Looking at going to Leeds in July so I thought I'd look at advance train fairs. For three adult one 14 yearold and two under 5's it came to nearly £400. It wouldn't even cost 1/4 of that in fuel. How can they justify the price of train travel and expect you to not use the car if the cost is so prohibitively expensive. Read more
It really does depend on your journey - whence whither.
I live in rural north Dorset, and usually drive everywhere, including Scotland: the nearest airport is an hour and a half away, and byb the time you've alloed time to get there and faffed around at the airport, you're halfway to Scotland in the car. I hate to think how many times I'd have to change trains if I tried that option....
The spring mechanism in both my keyfobs has failed with the result that if I close the key, the blade will not open out when I press the button. This means that I have to have something at hand to prise the blade up - and it is not always easy.
Any suggestions as to where I might get the fobs repaired other than at Ford?... Read more
The car is still in warranty (until next March) but I'd be surprised if the key was - it's due a 50k service in the next couple of weeks so I'll check with them.

Bought the car in the beginning of november 2015 for £1990. Its a 2007 peugeot 307 and had 90,000 miles on the clock. It had three months warranty and was advertised as having service history. We part x my fiat punto for 500. It also had 3 months warranty.
When we picked up the car we were told he would send us the service history as it had been misplaced. Two weeks later the lights on the car started flickering when driving, so it appeared that we were flashing cars. Dangerous on a motorway etc. We asked to have it fixed, which was agreed. We asked for a courtesy car,but was refused for 'just flickering lights'. Although i believe it is very dangerous if someone thinks you are flashing them out of a junction, to cross lanes etc.... The issue with the lights IMHO would not have trigger a reasonable request for a refund. While it took a while any maybe too long to fix (i agree), it was fixed and it is a 9 year old car and you asked them to fix it!
The cam belt issue sound like candidate for refund and if the dealer has made no attempt to fix it then court is your only route....

Hi all,
I am looking for a van for my business. It will cover about 35-40k a year. 80%+ on the motorway. The load space is not relevant as it's cargo will be tiny.... Read more
Here's a link to the Irish Opel Astra "Van", known as the "Astra 5 Door Van" which never came to the UK (See Page 10).
That other connector (3 different colours, joined together if I remember correctly) is for the steering control loom.
You'll have no issues leaving it disconnected.
