Take it back to the keyboard warrior who remapped it?

Put it back to standard, sort it out, then mess about with it, if you must.

Google "Peugeot Planet Map", you'll find a link to a group of Peugeot experts who have the Planet diagnostic gear which will fix things for you, at the fraction of the cost of a dealer.

I've done a few before. Get a blank chip from Ebay and it takes five minutes to program.

Hi all, my work circumstances are due to change and I’ve therefore opted to re-join the company car scheme as I’ll be doing around 30k miles a year just to my local office (could be around 38k plus private mileage). My dilemma is what action to take until the company car arrives.

Whenever I have looked at cars for sale, The varying mileages between like for like cars has had no bearing on the asking price at all within reason. I'd stick with what Rob said and just use your current car.

Just a note to the webmaster on HJ that the Volvo V40 2012 owners reviews have been somewhat skewed (to say the least) by the multiple additions of reviews of the same car by one person, namely V40MAN (entries for two variants within 1 day [almost certainly the same car - he probably didn't know the review doesn't appear straight away on the site so entered it several times] and multiple copies of each).

I would suggest you remove all of the duplicate entries, leaving one "D2 R-Design Powershift 5dr Auto Hatchback" review only.... Read more

The car with the above plate number has been parked in front of my house for the past three weeks.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have decided that I am just going to bite the bullet and get rid of the car. I was thinking of replacing it anyway so its not as bad as that. Only getting £600 trade in though...anyone want it for £700?

So after 67,000 I needed new front discs & pads on the DS5. When I turned up at the garage they had the wrong set, quickly rectified so no problem, however it turned out that because I'd specced 18" wheels instead of the standard 17" the brakes had been up sized as well. I've always found the brakes on the DS superb and they do fill the wheel but assume the standard brakes also to be well up to the job. My question is do most manufacturers do this (I do see a lot of cars with big wheels and disproportionately small discs) and if so is it for cosmetic reasons. Read more

On the Seat Leon TSI 1.2 and 1.4 regardless of trim (S, SE, FR) you get the same brakes despite the different trims having 15", 16" or 17" wheels. Move up to the 1.8 TSI and you get bigger brakes.

From memory on the BMW 1 series circa 2008 you got exactly the same brakes regardless of engine and trim unless you bought the 123i M Sport which did have bigger brakes meaning you were restricted on winter tyre/wheel sizes.
