Great, thanks. How does it fit, and could it be dislodged?

My Yaris Hybrid is 6 months old with 9600 miles on it. It's almost due its first service (I require 2 services per year due to covering 20000 annually.) The earliest date the dealership can book the car in is 11 days from now (24th August) but I have plans for this weekend and next week and will end up exceeded 10000 miles by then. What leeway would they deem to be acceptable without invalidating the warranty? Help appreciated thanks. Read more

A couple of weeks ago when I was stuck in heavy traffic on the M25 and moving about 12 feet every 5 minutes I did think a hybrid would be the idea vehicle for that kind of traffic if doing it often.

Maybe when I buy another car in the distant future I might consider the Auris hybrid....

I'm half way through a 24 hour test drive of a Jaguar XE S - the 2L petrol 240PS version.

So far so good. I'm generally impressed with the quality of the materials used in the cabin and the way it performs on the road. The engine (currently a Ford sourced unit until Jag's own petrol version comes out - 2016 maybe?) is pretty good, certainly powerful enough but for me it's missing something. I think this is because I'm comparing it to several years of diesel car driving with the low down torque available at almost an instance. However, by the end of a 3 hour drive the petrol engine was growing on me more and more.... Read more

I've got an Auris HSD and almost all my commute to and from work involves driving on several sections of dual carriageways so accelerating to 50 or 70mph then slowing down to/stopping at a roundabout then accelerating again.

I'm currently averaging around 51mpg (according to on-board computer).... Read more

What experience have readers had when providing proof of the number of years of no claims when changing insurers and insuring their car.

The norm seems to be that you are sent a SAE with your insurance certificate--then you return a copy of the renewal documents of your old insurer. All well and good, provided it is properly clocked by the new insurance company. But supposing it hasn't, is lost in the post or not accepted ... Read more

Another irritating tactic used by UK vehicle insurance companies is the scam where because you have more than one vehicle to insure they deny you the use of your no claims on the second or subsequent vehicle because "you have already used it".

In France at least (i don't know about the rest of europe) it takes a long time to achieve the maximum bonus but it is applied to every vehicle that you insure, whether with the same company or not,on two wheels or four....

Keep getting this message, not really a big issue cos I don't need it, but wondered if anyone knows what might be the problem, don't want to take it to the s******s if it's just an electrical connection etc. Read more

My BMW business CD (standard) tends to 'blip' when listening to a CD, for about 2 secs, every 20 secs, for 10 mins or so, then is fine. Same with the radio, only it blips for half a sec, every 20 secs, for 10 mins or so of listening, then is fine.

Before i buy another unit, what checks should i perform?... Read more

Radios in some Peugeot/Citroens do that when not correctly coded to the car. Don't know if this has any relevance in your case but thought it was worth mentioning.

If someone could go on google, they look identical, and both are 868 MHZ.

I need one for my E91, there are none on ebay at present, but there are two for the E70, slightly different part numbers, but then so are many identical E91 units. Any ideas? Read more

I know this is an old post, but for the benefit of others still searching (I was), I can confirm an E70 amp fits an E90 as i tried it today and it works :-)
