Just outside the hospital here, the road has subsided and a biker got caught out not speeding, but riding into the sun. Came off and lucky not to be hit by oncoming traffic. Swmbo and a nurse who was passing checked him and called an ambulance, the holes had been spray marked and that night were given a temp filling. Now the area is spreading and some one came to measure it. I Told the person that the biker was lucky and was not surprised to hear that the road would have to be closed to fix it. Weeks later nothing happening. Does it need a fatality to be fixed. Read more

My grandson 19 was hit when he was turning right into side road by a carcoming from behind and overtaking several vehicles. He and his passenger (his Mum) were both seriously injured in accident. Both cars were taken to compound by Police, and are still there 2 months later. Grandson had no legal cover and Insurance say they cannot examine car as it's in Police compound so cannot make him an offer so he can replace the car. He is due to start back work in 3 weeks and needs the money to buy another car for work. With no legal cover what should he do next and how can they claim for injuries which in his Mum's case are life changing and long term. What should they both disabled, should grandson see alocal solicitor? Should his Mum go to Injuries Lawyers (several rang the house after accident) What can I advise them both Read more
Maybe this is a good reason to get a company to handle your claim and provide a car while it's sorted. I asume the other driver was insured if i understood the OP.

I've had a few issue with my Ford CMAX 1.6 TDCi, Auto CVT (72k on the clock). I was wondering if anyone in this forum can help clarify the situation for me.
The night before I drove the car fine, no problem. The next morning, I started the car, it had the battery light on display, I thought it odd, maybe due to the weather. Anyway, I drove the car down the road to see if it would clear (maybe connection issue). Anyway, it did not and the engine light then came one, after that, the power steering, transmission and abs started to shut down. Had Ford look at the car, they said it was the alternator - they wanted over £500 to fix it.... Read more
Thank you, will read. I've accepted it will be bad news, but hoping for a small miracle;) Maybe not from Fraud cars. Terrible how they have handled this issue. A recall would have been better on the alternator and gearbox issues.
Thank you to everyone who has replied.
