Hi. I have a 2012 toyota avensis which i've owned from new. Its been a good car overall but not trouble free. Problems with chirping ancilliary belt(two replacements fitted since new, front brake rattle, dashboard rattle. I better stick to the subject of drivers seat. Since new the drivers seat internally seems loose and headrest rattly at times. When I sit into the car the lower section moves in pushing the top section out making for poor back support when driving. The headrest sometimes rattles on poor road surfaces. The dealer tells me the seat is designed like that as a safety feature as does the owners manual. But all the movement seems excessive.

The driver seat in my 2013 Avensis is too close to the steering wheel which makes it difficult to get into if you're over 6 feet tall.
Hope someone can offer me some advice - its a bit complicated so I'll try to be brief.
Went past an HGV who was taking up two outer lanes of 3 lane roundabout on my entry onto motorway. On approach the traffic lights changed from amber/red and I stopped, handbrake on. From approx 30m behind me the HGV sped up and went across the lights on red, he then cut across from the outer lanes into the inner lane and his back trailer took the passenger side/ front of my car off dragging me part round the roundabout with him. My car was now partly on the roundabout and he continued to accelerate leaving me stranded.... Read more
I guess further he would say you drove into the path of the lorry and failed to check your mirrors and stop safely.
Based on what the OP has said in his original version and his revision with the correct lane number I do not see how you can suggest this....

There will be a warning light in the dash panel when ignition is first switched on.Also a switch on the dash marked Esp/TC /Dsc or similar so that it can be switched off.

Diesels do not produce much head under low load, hence some large 4x4 have aux heaters for cold weather. The internal temp gauge is unless as it intended to point to the mid-point unless the engine is very cold or a fault occurs.
The thermostat only controls the min temperature not the max. Basically is closed until running temperature is reached, then open enough to ensure the min. temperature is maintained or exceeded. It reacts relatively slowly so temperature spikes will occur....
Hi folks.
My trusty scenic is getting in he Xmas spirit and lighting its dash up like an Xmas tree. Well almost....
The two lights in question are the STOP (red letters) and the red engine symbol with stop written within.
They flicker when the engine is on the overrun. Just barely. As soon as I dip the clutch or accelerate they stop flickering.
It's only when I'm engine braking so to speak.
Running fine so a bit puzzled.
Any ideas?
