Hi all, first time poster so apologies in advance if this question has been asked before. Our w reg 1.3 ford fiesta finesse seems to be losing oil with no obvious visible oil leaks, anyone any ideas? thanks Read more
My Skoda dealer informs me that the vibration I experience accelerating up to around 2,400 rpm in gear 4, 5 or 6 is due to a worn coupling between the propshaft and rear diff. The vibration is engine speed and not road speed related.
The car is a 2007 model with 80,000mls.... Read more

I wonder why they demand emails, addresses, phones etc, even when all we might want to do is to download a brochure?

Hi. Both my wifes car(1.2tsi Fabia), 35000miles, just under 3yrs old, and mine(1.8tsi Octavia, 8000miles,2yrs old, have both started using a fair bit of oil. I bought my car having been impressed with the smooth good performing engine of the 105bhp Fabia, so am rather concerned at the oil consumption, especially as iv'e only had mine for 3months. Both appear to use at least 1ltr between inspections, roughly 2 months. Is this normal for a tubo petrol engine?, have any other Skoda owners of these tsi engined cars experienced similar issues?.
Many thanks... Read more

When I have to catch an early morning flight I usually stay in a hotel the night before and get a weeks parking for an all in price. My next trip doesn't involve an early flight but does have a late return flight. Does anyone know if you can get the same sort of package in reverse? i.e. a weeks parking with the hotel stay at the end of the week. Read more
Thanks, thats good to know. I really didn't fancy a 2 hour drive in the middle of the night after a long flight.
Thanks for the advice dieselnut
