I would be grateful for any advice/opinion on this. I intend to buy a fiesta titanium ecoboost 1.0. a brand new one, 5dr via drive the deal is 12087 with solid paint, or plus 725 ish for special finish = 12812. my local garage has a 'used' fiesta, same with special finish, and rear parking sensors...but its a 62 plate, approx 2000 miles. they list it at £13700!!! i.e. new appears cheaper. i am pretty up on new prices etc but I wonder if anybody can tell me what would be a realistic price to expect them to sell this for as i am clueless? thanks a lot Read more
My wonderful lady friend has a beautiful Citroen with the correct suspension, which she dearly loves.
Occasionally - once every 10-12 months, it suddenly loses about a litre or so of its coolant, the first time a dodgy clip was replaced on the expansion tank, the last time it was unexplained, then a faulty sensor was replaced, it but has been perfect for a year, but now its just happened again.... If it is loosing sufficient coolant to make it overheat I would suspect that the head gasket is leaking, it will probably only loose appreciable ammounts when being pushed hard. The coolant will be expelled via the header tank filler cap or overflow, look for tell tale signs of dry antifreeze round the tank.
How fast do you reckon this lunatic must have been travelling? He's hit the hedge which must have slowed him a little but still got enough speed to launch up over the bonnet of the BMW, over the roof of the Audi? and embed his car in the TOP of the ground floor window !!! It's not even a main road, just a suburban housing estate.
R13 DTT - certainly was unlucky for him.
can anyone tell me where this is exactly thanks Read more

Hi,
My 2001 Zafira has suddenly lost power, feels like the turbo has stopped working. I managed to get fault codes of it, P1631, P1651 and P0400. There are no warning lights. I've previously got a a warning light with an EGR valve warning which cleared within a minute and then was OK. Any ideas? Just as I was about to buy a new car so typical! Thanks... Read more

How will the new requirements regarding testing airbags be done? I would have thought the only way test one would be to set it off but obviously not!

As with all warning lights covered on the mot test,.the light must illuminate with ignition on ,and extinguish after a few seconds. This only tests the operation of the warning light, not the system(engine mil light is not included in the new regs).Abs,airbag, brake warning light and pas warning light are now testable items.hth
I've recently bought a new shape Fiesta and am intending to do an interim service of filters, oil and spark plugs as they're almost due anyway.
Reading through the owner's manual it appears the engine air filter is described as a non-maintenance part - is this actually the case? I've already bought the filter as I was intending to do it, but I'm now wondering if the air box should be cracked open at all given the above.... Read more
I think it means you cannot do anything to it exept replace it with a new one.
thanks for all the replies - its really helpful. I will just need to see how it feels and if its a disappointment get the wheels changed.
