Hopefully its a one off but last night there was very loud music coming from a nearby location. At about 0100 hours I wandered outside thinking it was from a house across the road but found that I couldn't place the source. We live in a semi rural location and it could have been from quite a distance. I'm not sure what I would have done anyway!
I have to admit that once I hear this sort of thing I just can't stop listening to it and sleep is out of the question but I can't believe I am alone in being bothered by this sort of thing and I have been wondering it there was a remedy like calling the police, or whether we just have to put up with it until it becomes a real nuisance - by which time I would probably have gone mad!... These people who cause problems be it in gardens loud music shouting or swearing are not easy to deal with and they are a nuisance,...
The Shuttle has been making alarming squeaky noises while driving along for the first few minutes after starting up. Then the noises go away and all is well. We just got back from a long trip and everything was fine. However today my wife couldn't start it. I found it would start with some gas applied but there were further alarming squeaks and a slight smell of burning. I drove it for a few minutes and everything was quiet. Initially I thought the noise was a water pump but now I am thinking starter motor or possibly a belt. Any thoughts on this? - The Shuttle is 12 years old but offers limo-like comfort and space.
Sounds like a simple case of slipping fan belt, but it could possibly be the starter gear sticking in place and being spun up by the engine.
If it hasn't had one a new belt wouldn't hurt, give you a chance to spin the pulleys and see if everythings tickety boo....
May i ask why you're so set on a Mercedes ML specifically?
