I have just accquired a 2.0 litre SE Voyager with 93500 miles on the clock and I need to clarify a few things.
Firstly on the car by car reviews it states that the 2.0 litre engine is cam chain driven but looking under the bonnet I have noticed that there is a timing belt cover and not a chain cover. Does anyone know when the belt is due to be changed?... Read more
Listened to you this morning on radio 4 news discussing cameras. The other guy was a typical pro camera anorak so whatever you said he had the usual claptrap answer. However I think you should have been more assertive about this business of cameras being blatantly sited at places where no accidents had resulted in deaths.
In my area of Bournemouth/Christchurch practically every camera is at a spot which has not had serious accidents if any. I tackled my local camera Stasi and they absolutely refused to answer my question of how many deaths had happened at certain camera locations. You were dead right as all it is, is money and jobs for the parasite boys in the civil service. The sooner they are all out of jobs the better and I will celebrate that, and I bet the rate of deaths will hardly change. Read more

I would like to know if I can use a second hand immobiliser for a 'S' reg Vauxhall Astra 1.6 and have it re-coded to my car immobiliser. The problem I have is my transponder on my key for my car is beyond repair and is not returning the signal from my immobiliser thereby stopping the car from starting. I would like to know if I can get a second hand vauxhall transponder and have it coded for my car or would I need to buy a new transponder? If someone could help me out with this please as I would like to save some money and it is the only thing stopping me from actually using my car.

Had a cambelt failure on my 1997 AstraVan 1.7. It’s the old GM low blow (X17DTL engine).
Was just wondering if it’s possible to determine if any valves are bent without removing the head. I know on this engine that valve damage is very likely but am hoping I might have been lucky and avoid taking the head off.... Read more
Hey how do you go about using a strobe to adjust the pump timing? I gone over heaps of info, but never heard of that being done on the X17DTL before, only using a dial gauge (which of course I don't have).
Mine turns over OK and will run (poorly) with diesel start stuff sprayed into the turbo, but wont fire up. I noticed diesel staurating one of the leak-off tubes which were are fairly new and were nice and dry previously....
Any idea when it will be available in UK showrooms. Thank you. Read more
I visited my local dealer today to take one for a test drive. Got a decent trek on some different roads, some twisty, some town, then a blat up a dual carriageway for about 5 miles.
It's a great little beast... comes with every toy under the sun as you can tell except for sat nav (tho I've got a tomtom already... not too fussed). Strong case against the Kuga - similar spec Kuga would be approx 25,500 - against 20,777 for the Kia. With 7yr warranty too... Also, we'll see how realistic 47mpg claimed is... on the test drive I got 39 although the engine was cold to begin with, I had the AC on, and I was pushing the car a bit once we got going to see what it was like....
i was just wondering what are the symptoms of an air lock in cooling system and if so how to get rid of it?thanks Read more
