Berlingo 2.0hdi (June 2002) 90bhp got a bad misfire, sounds like running on 3 , has siemens injection system, had new injection pump 8 months ago, have changed fuel filter, we seem to have very little pressure out of the high pressure side of the injection pump to the common rail, have removed feed pipe from common rail , seem to have very little fuel delivery out of pump when cranking.Could it be electronic problem with pump, ie partially opened solenoid, or could pump be faulty. What exactly are they trying to say?
"sick of aggressive drivers trying to get you out of the way -- considerate drivers get a big discount on car insurance -- aggressive ones don't".
So -- "aggressive" drivers have automatically had accidents, and the "considerate" ones (who evidently hold people back on motorways) haven't? Drivers who sit on the right-hand lane at 68mph (which is the only bunch that seem to fit the profile on the ad) are the drivers they're after?... Read more
Volatility of the generated profits is the key. Less risky drivers implies steady and less volatile returns (it's also easier to determine the risk premium).

Hi all. My brain hurts so bad so I’m posting on here in the hope someone will help it stop. I apologise in advance for transferring the brain-ache and / or if this has already been covered somewhere else.
To summarise, my last two cars have been semi-automatic gearboxes (1st one a Renault Clio Quickshift, 2nd a Citroen C3 Sensodrive) and both have been spectacularly, almost outstandingly unreliable, almost killed me on several occasions and ended their sorry lives as part ex’s that went for peanuts. A close friend of ours is a mechanic and has told me in no uncertain terms, never to get another semi-auto again as long as I live. The next one he says very directly, MUST be a full auto (I only have license for automatic)... Read more
Hi I've just seen an 04 focus i'm interested in at a local dealer, I've been told that the service history has been lost , I have seen the last MOT whch was done at a local main dealer and the main dealer's name is on the number plates.
So I was wondering if i buy the car can i get in touch with the main dealer and obtain copies of the service history. Read more
I would give the main dealer a call before you buy the car.Or asked the local dealer to do this for you.If the car is main dealer serviced they should have a record of the car.You are the customer i'ts your money.
What, if any is the significance when buying a car at auction that does not have the log book present, also mileage not warranted?
In other words it is such a big deal?... Read more

Hi all,
My daughter and I were involved in a collision with a Spanish lorry on the M40 earlier this month (August). My insurance company have said that despite exchanging insurance details the Spanish lorry did not have a UK based insurance company to act on their behalf so need to go to the Motor Insurance Bureau.... Insurers of Spanish lorries almost invariably have a UK agent so in most cases you can deal with them.

My 307 has just failed the MoT on emissions. I have no warnings on the dash and my mechanic is unsure of where to start to address the problem. The average Smoke reading is 3.28 (pass is 3.00) with the peak 3.81 and lowest 1.91.
Any advice would be much appreciated... Read more
Hi Robin
Thanks for the advice - will give this a go...
Hello - I'm new to this forum and am in need of some advice desperately...
My Mk3 Mondeo Ghia X TDCI 130 (110k) had a catespophic engine failure ealier today. It appears to be electrical related as the engine doesn't even turn over, instead the dashboard lights up like a christmas decorations, turns the fan on and off and central locking appears to go wild and then settles and nothing happens..!! My wife thankfully managed to tow me home (that was a experience, she's never towed before!) and i've disconnected the battery overnight to see if it resets the issue. I've called in a favour it's having a diagnostic check on Wednesday 1st Sept, BUT i really could do with finding out sooner - any advice or guidance would be appreciated... i've run out of patience and money!
History
I purchased a Mk3 Mondeo Ghia X TDCI 130 privately in February 2010 and encountered an issue with the heating, so i put it into a independant garage who told me that the water pump had failed. I got a brand new water pump fitted, inc. belts as well as a full service inc glow plugs... about two weeks later the engine developed a noticable tapping noise on idle plus a smell of burning rubber. I took back to the garage who replaced and fitted a new crackshaft pulley and v belt. The car has always had the warm-start issue which upon looking at forums like this could be isolated to either a PCM update and injector calibration, or dual mass flywheel (hopefully not!) Read more
SOUNDS LIKE A FLAT BATTERY OR A SEIZED ENGINE

Yes it was done at citroen, but through previous owner, not us. Does anyone know of a code reader /fault finder that would be compatible with the berlingo?
