Hi I have recently bought a 206 gti with a duff engine and have the chance of a replacement, I was just wondering if there are any difficulties in swapping like for like? The replacement engine comes whole engine, gearbox, loom, bsi and transponder etc etc. Also roughly how long will it take to swap?
Any info would be greatly appreciated Read more

Hi there, last weekend I bought a secondhand 55 reg ford focus 1.8 diesel with 49k on the clock for £5800.

The service history is on a printed form stapled to the booklet.

One query i have with this car is when is the cambelt due on this. It is a 55 reg. Any ideas? also how much should I be looking to have this done when needed?

Any help appreciated?

One last question, its the LX version, was expecting a trip computer? but if its there its hiding away somewhere, were these not fitted til later LX models?

Anyone have any experience in pricing tyres for a Nissan Note SE? My wife has one and after a puncture today I noticed that the wear rate seemed excessive at just 12,000 miles.
Worse was finding out that the only manufacturer is the original supplier Continental and their price is £86 per tyre.
The size is 185/55 R16.

Any other owners similarly shocked? Read more

piston power

It's the low profile and the speed rating that bumps up the price, however lots of cars come with v rated tyres only because the dealer got a wopping good deal at the time and h rated tyres will do like the focus we had it would not go over 130mph so h rated is fine.

Fast fit won't tell you that and want to sell the v rated at extra cost, so shop around for best advice.

Hi,hope you can help, i've had my car for about 7 months and its always run very smooth, i recently had a new top engine/ torque bush fitted because the old one was splitting and since then i get a bad vibration at 60-70 mph. I've balanced all the wheels, there is no vibes through the steering wheel but there is through the floor and bulkhead, it feels like a drive shaft out of balance, but seems too much of a coincidence that a shaft would go when i had a bush fitted.... help its driving me mad, thanks. There was already a thread on this so merging them... some other interesting points in the other thread. Location of the car, no lighting, etc.

Crown Court now involved probably due to the sentence to be considered? Perhaps we should not speculate too much.
