Hi there
I noticed this evening driving home a sc***ing noise under my car. I pulled over to reveal a piece of flimsy metal Hanging from underneath it.
It looks very similar to this…

It appears to be a front floor right shield potentially?
I intend to get a garage to take a look but is this a serious issue or am I still able to
drive with it? Doesn’t seem to be connected to anything else from what I can see?
Thanks

I've been meaning to post this for a while.
As some may recall, I'm running a Mazda CX-5 and have been very impressed with the car - except for one thing. It's the SportNav model and that means the dreaded low-profile wheel/tyre set-up. (The specs are 225/55R19/99V.) The ride, on original Toyo Proxes tyres, was pretty harsh.... Read more
Been years since i had Toyos (T1R if i recall correctly), whilst an excellent gripping tyre they were noisy and hard riding, but then so were the Fulda set the present Forester came on.
Hi there,
I'm currently gathering data for a dissertation comparing EVs to ICE vehicles, and would appreciate any answers to the survey below, it should take no longer than 5-10 minutes!

Hi All,
I recently needed a run around vehicle whilst my car was off road. I used gumtree and found a mini listed under a private sale. he stated the timing chain had been done and a full service history with the last being done by a mini specialist nearby.... Read more
I would keep of record of any previous, current and future sales from this guy if he’s selling on eBay or gumtree. This will help your case as to him being a trader/dealer .
Thought I would share this.

Check your valid groups VERY carefully! I've heard of numerous motorcyclists that have lost their entitlement and have experience of someone who's (apparently) passed their motorcycle test in their '60s, despite never setting foot on a motorcycle!

I need to top up the power steering fluid but I don't know which is the specific fluid for my car.
But why do you need to top up the fluid? Presumably there's a leak?
Evening all, I hope you all had a merry Xmas.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of an insurance company that isn't actively engaged in price gouging? I got my renewal quote through and it's pretty much doubled on what I was paying last year despite having no convictions or claims and nor have I moved to a war zone. Read more
Insurance is due on our Yaris, looks like it will be just over £300, which is 50% increase on last year,
Tried a few comparison sites and there are some cheaper quotes at just under £300, but by the time extras are added there is little in it....
I got an "Engine Malfunction - Service Now" warning in the middle of a 300 mile journey. I called the RAC and he plugged in his computer and diagnosed "Turbo Charger Overboost".
He suggested it could be a clogged turbo filter or something along those lines.... Read more
Hi,
The vacuum pump controls turbo operation on the 1.0 ecoboost. Usually when the vacuum pump starts struggling the wet timing belt is breaking up and blocking the oil pump strainer effecting oil pressure. Obviously I have no idea about your cars service history or what oil has been used during services. However your wetbelt change interval is now overdue.
Hello everyone, and merry Christmas Eve.

The suggestion is that your noise is caused by water condensed on the belt, hence it only happens on misty mornings,This would probably not apply if it was the belt breaking up.
You might be able to reproduce the noise by spraying water on it with one of those cheap plant sprayer things, which would tend to confirm that diagnosis....
Exhaust heat shield. Not vitally important, but needs to be refitted. Drive the car with no problem.
