Hi all, we have an e-Golf on 3 year PCH which should have been collected about 2 months ago however for whatever reason, VWFS still haven't managed to arrange collection. We have continued to use it, however it now needs all new pads and discs (£600), a cost we would not have incurred had the vehicle been collected when it should have. Do we have a basis to try and claim this cost from VWFS? Read more
Hi there,
We are considering updating our car situation, at present we have a 2005 Accord 2.4Aut and a 2002 Clio. Both work and pass inspection, but the ages are showing and one car would do.... Read more
Thanks again.
It is something with the Accord in particular, even the Clio is OK in the entry height. And has sufficient headroom....
SEOUL, Jan 3 (Reuters) – South Korea’s antitrust regulator said it would impose a 2.85 billion won ($2.2 million) fine on Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) for failing to tell its customers about the shorter driving range of its electric vehicles (EVs) in low temperatures.

Hello.
Could anyone tell me if a 12 plate citroen berlingo diesel is already wired to the rear of the vehicle to accept plug and relay for tow bar electrics or if needs wired from the fuse box.... Read more
Our 2013 Berlingo was fitted with a Bosal detachable bar by the supplying dealer as a Citroen accessory. IIRC it needed additional wiring and some reprogramming of the vehicle's electrics.
Once done it's a very neat installation and, apart from issues with the car slot for the bar and dirt collecting it's been problem free throughout....

The Guardian also has an article about him. I found the second paragraph seems to sum up his special talent rather well.
Hi, I'm struggling with buying a replacement crank sensor for my 1999 Toyota Corolla (Petrol FWD -- _E11_1332cc 63KW 86HP 4E-FE) and am hoping someone may be able to advise me on finding the right part. On eBay using the 'My Garage' filter it initially brings up plenty of options but then when clicking through it mostly tells me it isn't compatible after all (a lot seem to be for models/engines ending in '4ZZ-FE' rather than 4E-FE). The part number of the sensor removed from my car is 90919-05019, and this only seems to be available without the cable attached (e.g.: this one), and I need the cable.
The link above (without cable) says it's for a Toyota Paseo, not Corolla, but it's the same part number. I'm confused about how specific the compatibility needs to be on these things and what features I definitely need to ensure are correct before buying, and which elements I don't need to worry about. There are plenty on Ebay that look just like the one taken from my car (although I've just started to notice that the metal cylinder on mine might be slightly thinner/more elongated than the ones pictured on Ebay etc.) I have tried online searches and various parts companies but haven't had any luck there either (I can find that part number, but not with the cable).... I purchased this 1L petrol car in the summer as a runaround with the intention of reducing costs but it feels anything but economical!
I’m noticing a strong smell of petrol on startup and my mpg is about 50 which I achieved by driving carefully and mostly doing 56mph where possible!
I have a years warranty and took it back on 2 occasions where they’ve even checked emissions but they cannot identify a problem!
Anyone else experienced similar problems or have any ideas please!
Thanks in advance Read more

I posted a couple of months back regarding my Citroen C4, which had free play detected in the steering rack. It was established that there was play in the rack, and the rod ends were completely fine. The play was described as a little more than 'slight', but ok to drive, and advised to wait for the MOT.
MOT inspection was carried out by a different garage, and it passed with just one advisory. The advisory was 'Steering rack has slight free play detected at steering wheel Both inner drum sticks'.
Question—What are the inner drum sticks, and can these be replaced instead of the whole rack? I was told by a different garage the whole rack would have to be replaced to solve the play, and due to the cost it wouldn't be worth it. I'm now wondering if this is something that can be addressed?
I can feel some play in the steering wheel, however the car doesn't pull or wander when driving or braking. I notice it clunks over bumps and potholes, and there is a creaking noise when turning into roads from stationary position. The car was a freeby, and due to big dents and scuffs isn't worth anything, so wondering how to treat the situation. Read more

A PCH car, is owned by the leasing Company and uless you had written confirmation that it could be used after the PCH period, you have no right to use it, it would have no tax, unless there has been a complete fowl up by theleasing company, and it may not be in insured as a result of the PCH ending. You would be liable for any repairs/damage
