The Berlingo is very tidy and good condition which is why I had trouble deciding - Ford over Citroen - I've never had a French car (although from Turkey) :-)
I have maximum NCD but cancelled my policy last year due to getting a company car. I don't particularly want to lose my NCD after 2 years, as I believe is the case. I'm a named driver on my wife's insurance - come her renewals, is there anything to stop me taking a policy out in my name with her as a named but main driver? We'd then swap at the next renewal so we both maintain our NCD.

My brother went through this about four years ago. When he scrapped his car he didn't bother buying another as he had the almost permanent use of his company van. I warned him that his full NCD would disappear but when he made inquiries with the insurance company he was with, the difference was not enough to be concerned about given he wouldn't have the expense of running a car.
I am not sure whether the NCD is all it's made out to be really, many years ago (1994) when I hit a tree on ice and lost my NCD, by shopping around my insurance ended up being lower anyway....

About 11 or 12 years ago I was lucky enough to view a Gordon Keeble (100 were made in total) in the mirrors of my van as I made my way along some country roads near the Aberdenshire village my parents live in. I was very excited, but as it is such an obscure car, there wasn't anyone I knew with who I could share my excitement. Even my Dad had no idea what a Gordon Keeble was!.
Today, after having lunch with them, I set off home. Got about half a mile along the road and noticed a small old red sports car coming towards me. As it got closer I guessed it was a Bristol, and as it passed, I confirmed it to be a 404. A total of 52 of these very advanced (for the time) coupes were made between 1953 and 1958!. I just bought a Skoda 190 petrol and get similar mpg up to 50 on a run. Check the price difference over VW. I wanted a 280 but couldn't find one...Happy with it though surprisingly as I was after a premium convertible
