In France and most of continental Europe the lobby and the trailer have separate registrations and insurance.
In the UK, a trailer is regarded as part of the towing vehicle it's attached to and damage to third parties is covered by the towing vehicle's insurance
How does E85 ( 85% ethanol - 15% petrol) stack up on a properly conducted test versus neat petrol?

A neighbour had the car repaired at a specialist a few weeks ago, £700 less than a ford dealer quote, and as i drove to bring her home, I said get shut of after. They were given a 1 year warranty. It failed last week and was taken away on a breakdown truck.

The Kia has been issued with a recall for some potential electrical gremlin, so 20 minutes at the dealer tomorrow..

Sounds great until you work out how much it would cost to replace it. The change over figure is what really matters. Of course that is assuming that new vehicles are available with a reasonable delivery date. Not a given these days.

Cazoo value my wife's 2018 Citroen C3 at £30 more than she paid for it 2 years ago, with around 9000 additional miles. Hmm.
Self and wife help in caring for neighbour. Her car, serviced to date, has developed a fault which drains battery completely in a few seconds. Main ford dealer services always but now closed locally. Battery replaced with Halfords who changed it after a few months as thought it had "failed" and replaced on warranty. Problem continues and AA called to start 5/6 times. Their check seemed to reveal the dumping of virtually all power within few seconds. Have brought it to our local, very experienced garage (originally estab 1933 still going strong) (escorted by AA in case of breakdown) cannot find fault after all checks and using auto electrician. Neighbour drives 350 to 400 miles per year and for a time started and left to run for 20 mins every 2nd day which worked initially but not now. Does this make sense? Any advice? Neighbour is 84 and wants to hold onto independence for while longer. Should I consider:
A. Taking to nearest Ford main dealer about 25 miles away? Would they be able to help with Ford technical services?... Read more
Camera used but still nothing found. Garage will retain until this thursday for further checks but need to draw a line then if nothing found. Will then see what is best going forward!
So… I have been having trouble with my daughter’s 2011 Ka radio.
It says wait for absolutely ages because the incorrect code has been input so many times. We have even taken it to Ford who couldn’t be bothered trying & said it would be best to have a new stereo at a cost of about £700!!!!
Anyway, they gave us the code and today I’ve left the radio on thinking that if I left it on long enough, the radio display would change from wait to code.
The problem is that the radio switched itself off before I had the chance to try the code.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

With a suitable fascia adapter, the fitting blends in with the existing dash panel . Also, if you’re not bothered about a CD player, get a mech-less unit that will have loads of features the standard radio doesn’t.

At the money you’re looking at the diesel will either be older or up in the miles plus it’s a much more complex engine and thus more prone to expensive failures. The couple of hundred quid you’d save in a year will be more than eaten up by repairs. The 1.6 PSA diesel has a reputation for turbo failure among other problems though it is much improved on earlier versions. I’d go petrol here.
