Hi all, I hope someone can help.

Lots of sound advice already on why not to buy.
I have had the misfortune of a VAG group Approved Used Warranty. Do not think for one moment that the warranty has anything to do with Seat. Its merely a white label insurance product and very over priced at that. Avoid.
Another excellent reason to stick with old technology and leave this new fangled stuff to those with money to burn ( literally). I have a 15 year old Mondeo and 10 year old Piccanto neither of which has ever caught fire. They have depreciated fully now as well so no new cars here until they really wear out. Read more
Finally, after 5 months I got my Kuga back with a new battery.
BUT it now gives 66% efficiency in that it charges to widely varying amounts like 23 miles available at 100% charge to 36 miles available at a 100% charge. Whatever the number available after a 100% charge it always drops after about 500 mtrs to 24 Miles available. Rejections looks to be an option.
You can still use mobile phones without touching/handling the phone i.e. use Siri or Google Assistant. Siri has improved considerably and really handle well the voice commands including sending text messages. Law says you will be punished if you will handle it, but not using voice commands.
Though I am NOT proposing that should use mobile while you drive, but I am suggesting use technology to handle stuff. Read more
To use a radio or C D track changing in some cars, without steering wheel accessories, is also dangerous , just a second of lapse of concentration and you could be in big trouble.
Unfortunately, my Ford Galaxy is starting to show signs of transmission failure. Rev meter is jumping around and some clutch judder.
I will need to change it next year for ULEZ so I do not feel motivated to fix it now. Ford quoted £2500 to replace transmission control module.... Read more

I hold the phone in my hands whilst driving. I do use the phone for sat nav and sometimes for music (and occasionally internet radio). In my car, there is a place I keep it, but it is n't a dedicated car mount (I see to recall the phone had to be in a cradle). ... Read more
Very much doubt anything will happen, we do not have the Police to stop the amount of drivers using mobile phones in the hand, everywhere you look someone is holding one and in a lot of cases Texting, or using a map in the hand.

Good evening,
I had a puncture repair on my car today, upon starting the car after the repair, the warning light Came on ACC and Front Assist not working. Can't for the life of me understand why doing a tyre repair would cause this? any idea folks. Should I disconnect battery, should I wait a fe days to see if fault clears on its own?... Read more
Apart from cleaning the sensor and making sure it is secure on the bracket , I would leave well alone . Realignment requires special adas equipment and diagnostic. New radar is over £600 .
Not sure if I’m posting in the right section so apologies and feel free to move if required

We don’t have any pets or small kids so our car doesn’t get really messy, I have a dyson hand held cordless which is great for a quick vac round, but usually runs out of charge if I try and do the whole car ( usually when I’m halfway through) , and I end up having to get the bigger vac out anyway, the good news is , swimbo will buy me it for Christmas, so I’ve got her doing the research, I’ve noticed some come now with a blow setting which could be useful as well as a power take off to run other things, although I might not use that, anyhoo, as I said swimbo is on it now, and she leaves no stone unturned ( think columbo)..
My front wheel makes a deep woomp woomp sound when driving between 30-40 mph. Its also only noticeable on certain road surfaces. Mechanic spent whole day today checked bearings, wheels, suspension and couldnt find a fault - said all wheels and underside is mechanically sound. Any ideas on what could be causing this as im at a loss but dont feel safe driving on the motorway till its resolved? Read more
Years ago I had a similar noise which sounded like a wheel bearing failing on an Audi A6. It turned out to be a faulty tyre. I think the metal mesh strengthening the sidewall was moving slightly creating a sort of reverberation. New tyres cured it.
Don't think tyres have metal mesh strengthening the sidewall , so if you had, that might have been your problem.
Car connected to MB “connect me” service .
