Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if anyone knows where the siren alarm battery is on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee? It is appearing with a fault on the ECU and also won’t let me lock the car as after it’s set it automatically starts sounding! Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Thanks,

Hi.
Owner of a 19 plate Sandero Comfort. I notice the rear seat backrest splits 1/3 and 2/3, but the seat is one piece. Not much use if you need to fold the seat forward to carry a large load and have a passenger in the rear. The Logan and Duster have full split seats, so why not the Sandero? Read more
Neighbour works at Renault/Dacia dealership, confirmed all new Sandero (not a further facelift) due next year.
Also mentioned Dacia might be bringing out a a small SUV to sit under the Duster; no idea on a name or what it’s based on.
Hello all. Recently, after a medium length journey, I have started having difficulties whilst accelerating to join highways or other times when I’m required to put my foot down a bit. The problem I will describe only happens from third gear;
If I’m in third, I will try and accelerate to about 40mph to join dual carriageway etc, and the gear that I’m in will disappear from the display and the engine will jerk and the revs will fly up to about 4000rpm.
If I’m in fourth, I will accelerate and on my display, the car will jerk, go up in revs and third gear will appear on my display. The same issue happens in fifth and sixth gear. Sometimes the gear selection disappears like it does when I’m in third, but mostly will drop to the previous gear.
I do not even have to have my foot to the floor, just a slightly firmer than standard squeeze on the throttle is causing this to happen.
Can anybody point me in the right direction? I have read numerous forums and websites, but there doesn’t seem to be forums on my exact issue.
Thanks in advance! Read more

Paid by Paypal, so was a little worried, but received a full refund on 26th September. Phew!
With regards to reading reviews, I suggest reading the most recent ones, to check if something has started to go wrong.
Another great sardonic review. Thank you!
I drive an old shape 2.0T petrol AMG A Class and the description of this vehicle matches perfectly particularly the Flintstones reference
But, its practical, and a pleasant place to be. Amazing straight line performance and is a great city car.

Hi all need some advice
I purchased a car from Evans Halshaw 18months ago. As is the way when you purchase a car you pay your road tax before you leave the forecourt.
Fast forward to this morning. I received a letter from the courts advising me I had been fined for driving without car tax for the last 8months plus non response of previous letters they have sent me. I was under the impression that I was on a yearly direct debit paying for the car tax as it’s only £30 for the year and i received no reminders. I have checked my bank statement and nonpayment has been sent either.. I investigated further and the DVLA had the wrong address on the system. It was one further up the road which is unoccupied which I have no affiliation with what so ever. I have searched for the log book but can’t find it what so ever so I am assuming it was also sent to the incorrect address. I paid straight away to cover myself for the next year.
What do I now do? Should i challenge this in court with magistrates as it is clearly an oversite from the DVLA for having the incorrect address and myself for not chasing for the v5. In total it will be over £500 in fines and court costs.
I have had my car insured and MOT, license is in the correct address and have driven 10k plus in the last 8 months not been stopped by police anything at all! Really makes you wonder really do these ANOR cameras actually work.
Any help or advise would be truly appreciated

At this stage do not worry about whose fault this was. Concentrate on getting it put right.
You need to perform a "Statutory Declaration" (SD) to have your conviction set aside. You need to do this within three weeks of learning about your conviction. You can make the declaration at a Magistrates' Court (free of charge) or before a solicitor (who may charge a small fee, perhaps £10)....
I seem to read every couple of weeks HJ’s advice on tyre pressures, and the comment that he runs his at reduced cold pressures “because, as the tyres heat up in use, the air inside expands and the pressures increase by about 2 - 3 PSI.”
Yes, tyre pressure does rise by 2-3 PSI on a journey, but surely this is why manufacturers advice that one should check tyre pressures cold … and the recommended pressure has already taken this rise in pressure into account.... Read more
Does this really matter unless of course you are driving a highly loaded car...
The paintwork on my 2017 black L200 Barbarian is way too easily scratched, marks all over & just noticed rust coming in one of the scratches! Our other car is also black, a VW Golf which is parked alongside overnight and treated alike - no exceptional scratches. Not noticed a problem on my previous black 4 x 4 Sportage or X Trail. Dealer said they can't comment as they don't have bodyshop. Any advice please? Thanks Read more
It is integrated into the alarm siren .
