BABY BLUE

Hi.My electric windows was working yesterday but I unlocked the car last night pressing the button twice but forgot to lock it. I left my car unlocked all last night. I have 54 plate Skoda Fabia Mk1. I have come to my car this morning and tried to make the windows work manually using the key on the door (it worked last time) and this time it didnt work. If i unlock the door manually it normally opened all 4 doors not just one. I cant work the electric windows from the inside either. could i have uncoded the key? Read more

Does anyone know the delphi test run and expected amount of fuel collected. I always thought it was 10% of each other, but then i thought if they were all bad they could be within 2% of each other and still be bad.
Looking at other car manufacture forums they say idle for a minute, rev to 3000 rpm for 30 seconds, idle for 30 seconds repeat 3 times and should have no more than 25 mls etc. Others say idle for 30 seconds, delphi advises tests with there own equipment.

Hello All,

Wondered if I could tap in again to the world of useful advice on this forum.

I've been offered a six month contract working for a major international in Mumbai. I'm fortunate that they've said SWMBO can join me out there which is great, and I've spoken at length to the guy who I'll be replacing and a former colleague who has also worked out there too, and all is good.

My questions are about some of the more practical matters, like is there a way to get UK TV so Mrs Boss can watch her favourite stuff?
Would anyone recommend getting an Indian bank account / Phone.
Any practical advice that would be useful would be most appreciated. I've worked over most of Europe / US before and Turkey for a few months but most of this has been short term.

Thanks in advance.

I am surprised that your only worry about India is phone and watching TV :O)

It is not that easy to get a SIM card in India. You need to show lots of identification including proof of address - which might be difficult for you....

I have a 1943 Wiilys Jeep MB with an original Willys Go-Devil engine. Last October the engine was re-built and fitted with new pistons, new valve seats, and new valve guides.

Is it better to use normal unleaded with Lucas lead replacement additive, super unleaded with the additive, super unleaded by itself, or what?... Read more

Hey,

Recently we were offered a new car on the motability scheme (my mother is ill). I and my sister were going to be the drivers. My sister often admits she is a poor driver having notched up 4 accidents in 3 years. She herself insisted that I (no accident's in 5 years) be ta main driver, doing the brunt of the driving as she lacks confidence, particularly in a new vehicle.... Read more

I agree with Theo, a mini cooper sounds like its the kids choice and not their "immobile" mum. Op cant get insured but his sister drives albeit badly. What about mum?

Mobility cars are for the benefit of the disabled and not for family or friends to use for their needs....
