Renaults AL4/DPO has secret its called the counter its in the software for the automatic transmission ,its a clock that ticks away the time the fluid has been in the gearbox it works in conjunction with the condition sensor , its generated billions of Euros for renault dealers because renault say never change the fluid yet every other transmission mfg will tell you to change the fluid at 30,000 miles because debris from the clutch packs /bands just keeps pumping around system causing damage to valve body/seals/EMV valves/solinoids/torque converter and bearings /bushings ,unless you buy expensive renault clip diagnostic equipment you are not going to be able to reset the counter even if you are only topping it up let alone changing the fluid , its a system where the whole concept was designed to fail unless you have special knowledge and equipment ,look at any forum and common discription is (it went thump and was stuck in limp mode ,there thousands of renaults all over the world for sale cheap because it costs to much to repair! Quick message regarding a post from a couple of years ago with a slipping clutch at 35k the issue was traced to a faulty DMF and I paid for a new clutch to be fitted at the same time.
I'm now starting to wonder whether the clutch plate was actually replaced, 25k later the issue has arisen again. ... Read more
My 2 liter diesel Audi had Manifold flaps replaced a couple of months ago, however there is a fault on the Fan control circuit, in that thye fan won't turn on.
The car's brain apparently switches the fan on, but the fan doesn't operate..... Read more

I bought a 2014 Mondeo about 18 months ago with 7.5k on the clock - since then I've taken it up to 48k miles and it is coming up to the 50k service. Thus far all servicing has been done at the main dealer and all has been well. All I have done is changed the tyres once and the rear brakes last month.... Read more
I'm now close to 68k miles and have booked in for an early third birthday present: Its first MOT :) [Due on 1st March but as other work needs doing, I decided to get it all together.
My tyres are near to needing changing - is 28k miles good for a set of Michelin Primacy 3? - so I decided to get an interm oil and filter change and the MOT at the same time. May well need some new brakes too I suspect - front at least....
