Hey, hoping someone can narrow down the issue for me, before I decide to take car to a local garage or Audi dealership where I bought it.
Came into contact with debris on motorway, which made a bit of noise but didn't think anything of it as no damage seen and car looked and felt fine afterwards.
Fast forward 1 week and 500 miles later, there is a vibration (I can feel it under the centre front of car and drivers seat) and there's a noise originating from the front passenger side wheel. A bit like the 'wump wump wump' you get from a flat. Except the tyre isn't flat. Vibration occurs at same time as noise.
Car driving ok otherwise, not pulling significantly. Only done 30k so guessing I've damaged something when running over debris.
Open to suggestions on what could have happened?
Cheers Lisa

I only just noticed today that Mg only sell the MG6as a diesel now! Read more
The diesel MG6 doesn't sell well, either. Sadly MG doesn't have any brand image left. The one advantage the MGF and MGTF had over the MX-5 was their British heritage - and MG hasn't even got that going for it now.
Insurers have managed to blur the lines between TPFT and comprehensive insurance. Comprehensive used to be just that - insurance with all the bells and whistles. But all the quotes I have had this week list a string of "extras" that used to be included. That's OK - I can choose what I want, but let's change the name from "Comprehensive" to something else. Any suggestions? Read more
What extras are you referring to?

The splashed pedestrian claims in the article that other cars drove round the puddle - therefore he had seen the puddle and was able to anticipate what might happen - or am I missing something?
Maybe it was after he was splashed that he saw subsequent cars go round?
Hello, i am from denmark, i hope you guys can help me with this car. I will try to make my language so you can understand what i have tryed so far and what the problem is.
The problem : when the car is cold/ the engine is cold i have to turn over a lot off times before it fires up, when it does fires up the engine is runs badly for 10 secounds and some little white comes at the exhaust. The colder weather -> harder to start. When it first has fired uo for 30 secounds i start totally normally after that, it is allwayd the frist time firing up after it had stand still for some hours.
Also there is wery loss of power at the low rpm, nothing happens if you give fuld throttle from 1000 rpm to 2200 rpm, and also after 2200 rpm i dosent think the car seems fast enough.
The injectors have been tested at bosch
The starter goes fast enough
Batteri condition is good
The engine has been cleaned inside with a lot off different products
Glow plugs has been changed
Timning belt is checked and is correct
Live data on turbo, high pressure pump( when it cranks ) is ok, egr valve is tried to blocked off ( still starts badly first time)
And finally a compression test on all 4 cylinders : 20 bar on cold engine, is that enough??
We also have had a camera inside cylinder and it looks lile it was new.
Hope you understand, if you habe guestions or answer please write so i can understand ( techical words )
Thanks :-) Read more
Someone on another forum with a similar problem mentioned that their fuel pump had a buildup of "wax", and after cleaning, it was much better.
Does the car have a diesel heater fitted? On my 307 that failed and it was difficult to start when cold. I only found out when doing a Lexia diagnostic - the fault didn't come up on generic "scan anything" code readers.
This engine is very under-powered for an otherwise perfect car, un-responsive in Auto. I have to engage S and use the paddle change to drive up the steep hills were I live. Can this engine be tuned to give more power in Auto? Read more
Around 1979/80 I had use of a company Rover SD1 3.5 V8, this was when I worked with engineers developing fan-drives, did lots of mileage collecting components.
The Cummins 14 litre (known as 'old reliable' by Cummins) had efficiency improved during the 70s by superseding their original T50 turbos with the twin-inlet design developed by the company I worked for (now known as Cummins Turbo Technologies).

I'm wanting to get rid of my Nissan Almere Tino on 90,000+ miles now 54 plate, want something a bit newer and some bells and whistles...
I've seen a mondeo 09 plate 2.3 titanium X with all the toys and only 25k on the clock from a ford dealer near brum. It's 8k asking price, checking what car I should aim for 6.7k. I'm not bothered about fuel consumption, I only get 31mpg from my current lump. Tax is £55 more, I can live with it. It's full leather, 18" alloys, heated seats etc etc I want it! Rang the dealer, he said it's only partial service history but mot'd with ford to verify the mileage. Should I worry?
I've also seen another 2.3 mondeo ghia 30k miles full service history, not leather not all the bells and whistles but b***** good spec £6500k in Leeds. Both cars on auto trader
Also plenty of 2.0 diesels at 50k mileage for under/around 7k
What to do! I've convinced the Mrs to let me change, which one. Help
Cheers

If i were you, I'd definitely be looking to test drive a 2.2 or 2.0 litre diesel version, to compare with the petrol versions you mentioned. Most Mondeo's are excellent drive's, and with your budget you should be able to get a corker. I personally would aim for one with a full and checkable history though. Also, at that money you should get a good warranty thrown in. good luck.
Hi , yet another brake question! I have a 2006 Ford Focus, I've noticed that when releasing the brakes they seem to 'clunk'. Seems to come from the back. Not sure if this is just normal car noise or something to be concerned about? Thanks Read more
Pads rust onto the rear discs when handbrake applied, happens all the time, not a problem. Try washing your car and then just park up overnight, like I did yesterday......

Absolutely bang on from Skidpan there.
All the industry advice is to fit new tyres to rear and fitters recieve this in training....
