When I switch on my heating in the car I have to use level 3 or 4 as level 1 and 2 will not work, can this be easily fixed?
Possible. If the flow is really low and appears not working on low flow, could be a blocked pollen filter.
Is this correct,

Just phone Citroen UK's head office and ask them. They are/were quite helpful when I rang them some years ago.
on september 1 the car my mother and i were in was hit by another car (according to the cops the driver who hit us had only recently got his driver's licence and had only been driving for about a week )
we were fine no injuries however the car we were in was my dads (he let us borrow it because at the time my moms only vehicle was a van and it is a petrol guzzler so we would often borrow his for longer trips)... Read more
In your first post you stated " at the time my moms only vehicle was a van ".
Presumably your mum had insurance on her van....

You could try a new battery in the fob then re-syncing the key. You'll find the instructions in your handbook. If you don't have one they're online here:
This afternoon there was a silver estate car with DVLA script parked on the N-bound Blandford bypass, with flashing amber lights, with cones around, and some sort of equipment on a tripod at the back of the car pointing back.
There were no police, or vehicles, beyond, ready to stop anybody. ... Read more

Help!! My Vectra was running fine until Saturday. I parked it up and when I came back 4 hours later it would not start. The engine was turning over and tried to fire up, seemed very lumpy and when I pressed the accelorater it died. This happened 4 times. I left it a minute and tried again, this time it fired up and revved, I was able to drive home no issues, 5 miles. Started fine this morning. Parked at work all day, started car at 5pm and it turned over but would not rev past 1500 rpm while I was sat. I tried restarting 3 times, same. On the 4th turn, I managed to start it and rev it as normal, went to pull away and it just slowed down, would not rev past 1500. Turned it off, restarted it for it to rev and then drive away, got all the way home, 17 miles, plenty of road ends and waiting to pull out with no issues at all. Got home, turned car off, back on and fired and revved ok, felt little bit umpy but not as it was. Any ideas please? Read more
Had something similar with a Rover L series lump. Volt meter found 0 volts on supply rail to glowplugs, traced back to a dirty glowplug relay. Relay removed from car, cap taken off and contacts cleaned with a sliver of printer paper, you'd be amazed at how much black dirt came off the contacts.

I went to Europarts to change the drive belt on my Clio and the new one - which was the correct one - had shallower grooves than the old one, in fact they hardly had any depth at all. I returned this item and went to another supplier and here also the grooves were shallow but not as bad as Europarts.
Is this how they are today? Read more
Third paragraph JohnF
Thanks, W-r, this is the third para....These new EPDM belts resist cracking unlike the older OE belts, but they do wear. They lose rubber like a tire. Today’s belts start out with a V profile and as they wear, the V turns into a U. Once the belt is worn, it will have less surface area contact with the pulley and begin to fail or make noise.....
They also say EPDM only started to be used mainly after 2000, so I suspect my belt is neoprene. Obviously it will eventually wear out but it is not noisy, looks OK and it doesn't 'chirp' with heavy load after starting or switching the aircon on, so presumably has adequate contact area. So I shall stick with it until there are signs it needs replacing, and continue to service it as I have always serviced my belts - I have never ever had one break or even look worn. The only belt I have ever replaced in nearly 50yrs was a cambelt on our 1983 Passat GL5 at around 130,000m; and that was only renewed because the leaky water pump needed replacing - it looked perfectly OK....
Collected my ex demo venga 2 petrol today from NMG Norwich and was given a very comprehensive document 12 pages long to read and sign making me aware of all the various bits of advice and issues possible with a new vehicle.
Clearly presented and not rushed into reading.... Read more
Fair comment KB and having experienced the pain of using an insurers approved repairer (Christmas day deer incident) and I might get my car back on Saturday, I have some sympathy. However having no relationship hasn't stopped me being reasonably compensated for awful service.

You'll not regret the X1 diesel , it's an excellent all rounder with a quality and ability not found in rivals, in my mind the Q3 doesn't stack up to the feel of space and solidity. I bought an X1 23d xdrive which is just excellent and very well equipped, I too have a short journey on a daily basis but just alternate onto a long way round to make sure I give it a blast along 5 miles of dual carriage a couple of times a week, I also ensure I fill up with BP Ultimate every two or three tanks, hopefully that combined with an annual service and good check over will ensure many years of comfortable motoring because, I I have no intentions of changing this car for some time.
