My C3 is now about 13 years old and has been running well. Now I find that the engine computer warning light comes on intermittently, particularly when cold or driving slowly.
Also, there is a vertical line of orange lights on the left hand side of the display that normally come on one by one until 3 are illuminated as the car warms up. The top light is red and I have never before seen it light. This red light has started to come on without the others when I start the car. It beeps and lights 3 times. This happens every half minute or so until the car warms up.... Read more
There are alternatives to dealers for advice and diagnostics. French Car Forum has a map containing details of Peugeot and Citroen owners around the country who have the Lexia diagnostic equipment and know how to use it.

This Car Is An Absolute Beauty To Drive And Is Extremely Comfortable. Most Of My Family Have/Or Owned Ford Focus' And This Is Definitely The Nicest. It Has The Top Of The Range Sony CD Player Of Its Generation, Electric Windows In The Front And In The Back, Also Which Is An Added Bonus Is The Cruise Control, Which Is Economical, Fuel Efficient And Keeps You Track Of Your Speed. The Boot Capacity Is Generous, Which Was A Selling Point For Us. It Really Does Make A Super Family Car. The Cambelt Was Replaced At Our Local Ford Dealership, They Also Near Enough Replaced The Whole Of The Suspension, Brake Pads Front And Back Have Been Replaced, As Well As Doing The Latest Service. The Car Is Due Another Service Anytime, I Have Filters Which Will Be Included In The Sale. The Tyres Are Goodyear's - With A lot Of Tread Still On Them. There's A Small Dent On The Drivers Wing (Which Can Be Seen In Pictures), The Wing Mirror Cover Has Been Replaced To A Grey Prime Coloured One (Which Can Also Be Seen In The Pictures). M.O.T Isn't Due Until October 2016. We Have Had This Car For Nearly Four Years, And I Can Honestly Say It's Been A Real Treat To Own. This Car Will Leave With Its Two Original Keys, Log Book And Filters... Read more
I like the "worth a look" phrase that still appears in adverts (obviously traders adverts, sometimes even disguised as actual private sellers lol ).
Can you fill transmission fluid through the speed sensor hole and any transmission? It's in an easier location to fill than the filler hole. Read more
The line up for the new show has been announced. A total of 6 presenters - Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris (previously at AutoCar magazine), F1 pundit Eddie Jordan, motoring journalist Rory Reid and Matt LeBlanc will join Chris Evans. I wonder if that will be a case of too many cooks? Read more
I would imagine Eddie Jordan is there because he's contracted to present. And since the BBC has dumped the F1 coverage early he'll be getting paid with no show to present on, and this is the best they can come up with.
Personally I don't mind the guy, but do think that it's all very "leftie-multicultural-ticking-all-the-diversity-boxes" BBC.

That's the best of reasons to go off-topic, Focussed. Your Dad's generation lived through a lot, and we often forget the reserves of courage shown by firemen. He chose his car well too: his Minor no doubt started easily on a wet morning, whereas if he'd had a Ford Anglia he'd have got there sooner on the bike.
I strongly agree with the suggestions above of the 1.3 Toyota Yaris. If it's too small for you, Mr ?, the Corolla/Auris would do just as well.
Rainwater is going into the drivers door and instead of flowing out through the drain holes is coming out between the door and door card and onto the carpet. I have removed, cleaned and replaced the rubber window seal but to no avail! I removed and resealed the door mirror, also no change!
The water seems to be dropping onto the back of the speaker and travelling from there..Any suggestions?? Read more
I had this problem a few years back, the membrane looked fine until you look really close and there was a small pin prick of a hole where the water was dripping down the inside of the door,I JUST squashed the membrane putty a bit to block the hole problem solved but it was something i had to repeat once a year on average, think this is a known fault as im sure ive read this on honest john before

I have a Ford Focus. End of last year it developed a yellow engine warning light situation and a sporadic misfire. I got it serviced by Ford and they told me it needed a new ignition coil. I thought this strange as I would have thought that an ignition coil problem would have resulted in a more continuous misfire. They replace the coil (and plugs, but NOT LEADS). Now, less than two months later, it has developed a very serious misfire (any cylinder I think, but not sure). There is now a RED warning light that apparently means (Message Center (urgent)). I suspected it might be the coil again, so I called in local driveway diagnostics man who discovered that it indeed is (or appears to be - error code P2303) - which would be covered by warranty.
So I immediately phoned the Ford dealer who told me that that I would have to deliver to them and that they would carry out their own diagnosis ("our meters can sometimes read more into the fault than others' can") and that if it was not the power pack at fault then I would be faced with a bill of £85 for the diagnosis and whatever it costs to fix the fault, Well I feel myself on the horns of a dilemma: this gives them any amount of leeway to tell me that it is not the coil but something else: £££bill for me and no comeback on themselves. Thing is: EOBD code readers are just reading fault codes from the ECU and transponding them into readable format, no? So how come Ford's meters can read more deeply that the ones that mobile mechanics use, and if Ford's diagnostic tools really are more intensive than proprietary ones (this is a Sealey), then why on earth didn't they find the underlying fault in December? hi all, i am trying to diagnose my ABS light staying on. I recently replaced the rear hub, but didn't touch or dislodge the sensor, and everything seems in order, visually.
