Hi. My new vehicle seems to be installed with out of date Garmin maps. Version 3.2. On trying to update via Garmin Express it continually comes back with "maps are up to date". I know that the maps are out of date as I understand that updates (via disc) for older CRVs are running on Version 3.9. By comparison my old handheld Garmin system is fully up to date and has no problem in updating via download and is running Version 4.0. Does anyone have any idea how I can get a more recent version downloaded into my car as Garmin Express continually says my car is up to date. Thanks. Read more

Hello again, been reading your replies, thanks for the input, been in touch with the dealer, nothing he can do, Honda not interested and Garmin referred us to Honda. Any of this sounding familiar. Don't think I'd go for inbuilt system again.

hi hope some one can help changed waterpump and cambelt on my vectra 1.9 cdti 120 , 8 valve and have had a ticking , tappety noise since , on this model does it have a timing pin hole for camshaft and is there any marks for diesel pump , you cant hear noise on tickover and ticks over fine , my mate said it sounds like injector , thanks Read more

hi have tried to get bolt out but is so tight tried with a electric wrench and tried with breaker bar but wouldnot turn dont know what elso to try

The Tigra-B 04-09 is based on the Corsa-C 00-06 - but engine specs may be different.

Has anybody had any success with VW over a fault with the design of the rear suspension of the Passat range that causes "cupping " to the tread on the inside of the rear tyres creating a whine similar to a faulty wheel bearing .

The problem with the tyres has been caused by the geometry of the car.

You need to get a 4 wheel allignment, then new rear tyres....

Do you mean to say you are looking for quieter tyres? If you search using for example www.mytyres.co.uk/ you can sort them by noise level which would give you a start.

Good evening everyone just brought a band new Ford Focus zetec s year of the car is 2013 and I have had nothing but trouble with it first of all it was miss firing all the time so fords put on a new coil pack still no joy still did not solve the problem then they put in a new wireing loom still did not solve the problem now they say they have got to renew the pcm on the car what a joke this is has any one else had any trouble with there zetec s ???? Age of the car is 2013 vin number not too sure of unless I get all the paper work out what ever they hook the car up too ??? Lap top or no lap top the car is still not communicating with them has for ford yes they have been involved since Wednesday and today when the ford dealer tried to communicate with the car after they put on a new PCM the dealer was talking to ford tech team and still no joy so I have to wait now until ford technical team comes up to the dealers on Wednesday so they can have a try to get my car sorted out

Hello, yesterday I had a hard time removing the hub carrier from the suspension. Now the hub carrier won't fit, it's too tight I lubricated the suspension strut, I removed some of the rust it did nothing, i'm desperate I don't know what to do

Can someone help me please ?

thanks god, I did it, with the strut upside down, I used a 4 lb hammer and pound the hub carrier back

Thats knackered it then.

I have a Torqueedo electric outboard with its own 800 watt LiSo4 battery and charge circuit. It will charge from a 12v bank that delivers 10 amps, and it will charge directly from 24v panels. The boat also has a 12v sump pump and running lights, that run off a 12v utility battery. I have 2 18v panels that put out about 3 amps each, wired in series. Is it possible to charge the 12v utility battery off the 24v system while the 24v system is charging the motor's internal battery at 12 v? I have a MorningStar Sunsaver 20 amp SS20L contoller, plus a variety of cheap Chinese 5- 10 amp contollers available. any thoughts would be appreciated. Read more
