I have a Suzuki IGNIS 1.5 Sport (from april 2004), it's fine but I have been having problems with air-com from fairly early on. I am not mechanically-minded but I've had 5 cars with air con, and I know how to use it (at least once a week, followed by blast of hot air to kill bacterias).

Thanks. The cold effect lasts 2 months maximum (goes from very cold, maybe 4 degree C to a little cold, round about 18C I'd say).

The air con pipe the Suzuki dealer fitted at the end of May (they said it needed replacing) may not be the problem, in that case I've wasted £235 (+ the 2 recharges before that). I guess I will never be able to prove that their was a misdiagnosis on their part (short of spending 100s on expert reports and what have you)....

Does my 2002 Volvo S60 D5 have a D P L or did this start at a later date? Read more

Almost certainly not, in 2002 only a limited number of Peugeots and Citroens had them, I believe.

Cracking car, the S60 D5. Fantastic torquey engine with a characterful exhaust note.

HI there

I wonder if anyone can advise me please? I'm looking for an MPV to buy which can be converted to a van by removing the seats. We currently have an 06 Zafira (new shape) but there isn't enough space in there when we use it for our business, mainly due to the fact that the seats aren't removable (and would be nice if there was a bigger capacity in the back) so I'm looking for an MPV which will do the job.... Xsara Picasso - rear seats come out with ease giving a huge load area - cheap to buy too.

Hello, I have just come on this forum for a bit of advice regarding a car a bought from a well known dealership about 3 weeks ago.

I bought a Nissan Micra Spirita registered in June 2007 and it had 1800 miles on the clock. There was a FSH with it being serviced every year and doing about 600 miles each year. I was looking for a new car to replace an old model and so I was looking for something more reliable mainly, something that wont be failing every MOT or breaking down.

Anyway, this was the first time I have bought a car, the previous car I had came to me from within the family. Since I collected it, it just seems like I have had nothing but trouble. It had to go back after a week because of a faulty reversing light and then I went on holiday for a week and when I came back, I had some problems with it. It seems to be shuddering when idle and when driving and seemed to not respond to the accelerator, and then shoot forward. The engine management light was also on. The dealer replaced an o2 sensor and it seems to be running smoother. It still varies its revs slightly when idle, especially if air con etc is in use.

I just want some general advice about whether this may be problems caused by the extremely low milage; now I worry every time I drive it as to whether it is going to break down again. I am wondering whether to trade it in or keep it; I've just got no confidence in the car at the moment and its hampered by the fact I dont know much about cars!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Chaps ( & ladies?!)

I have an issue with my newly-bought used Polo, any advice would be much appreciated. Beginning at speeds between 40 - 50mph, a heavy vibration starts through the steering wheel, becoming worse as you go up past 60 and onwards. I've had the front wheels balanced to no avail. I hadn't bothered to have the rears done as the movement is very definately coming through the steering, but is this likely to help? The car had an engine rebuild immediately before I acquired it, I wonder if incorrect reassembly or bad workmanship might have caused any problems? Cheers Guys. Read more

Yes a serious defect would have been noticed like the op is saying have the wheels balanced and i would buy new tyres two at the front .I have used kwikfit in the past they are ok this neck of the woods yorkshire.Stop with the car when they do the work if they allow it.
