As I was looking into the recall of the Ferrari 458 Italia I came across this video by Oakley Design. The company have modified this Ferrari 458 to go even faster. It's power is up, downforce is up and weight has been lowered. There are some beautiful touches to the design of the car too with carbon fibre replacement parts.

The interesting thing about the new specs of the modified car is that it must now be quicker than the Enzo Ferrari and must also cost about half as much (at a guess). I would love to see this go head to head with the Enzo. ... Read more

Do they really know that much about cars?

After a week in Cornwall, where my car appeared to be the only one fitted with a reverse gear, incl being asked to move my non blocking carefully parked car so as to prevent a 35 year old women "struggling" ( her words ) to reverse.

I have started a car company (small, just my dad and myself for now) and have been reading on this site that there are a lot of the public not happy about the way dealers deal with problems? I have sold about 30 cars in the last year and had 3 come backs which I have fixed at my expense with no questions asked.

I find it funny that people ask for a honest, responsible customer focused dealer and when I tell about what I do and have done for clients in the past no one believes me?... Read more

new to forum, need some help with my mk2 mondeo,

the drivers door central locking does not work. (it works if i turn key in passinger door, I mean the solenoids operate in all doors inc the drivers side )

I have sprayed the key hole with wD etc, did help for a short while, but was short lived

also the key fob does not work, battery ok, led comes on ( is radio frequency type, and it seems to re-program ok, is it the receiver unit ?)

I would be happy initially to get the door mech working on the drivers side , then tackle, the remote fob issue,

all advice appreciated

thanks in advance Read more

Thought I would try here, you never know!

I wouldn't use a masonry bit, but if you have to, do not set your drill to hammer action, or you run the risk of cracking the tile.

It's better to use a dedicated tile bit, which has a flat spear-head shape and a sharp point. Do use plastic insulation tape to stop the bit wandering until it penetrates the glaze and, again, do not use hammer action. As you're going between two tiles, go extra carefully....
