Get the private owner to give you the name of his finance co. and the number of his "agreement",then you phone the finance co. and ask for a settlement figure which YOU pay them and give the "owner" the balance(if any).

Can you give a few more details, has it suddenly started? it only does it when the clutch is down? Perfectly OK at all other times?
Can open drivers window and one other window from drivers controls (Although could only open drivers window when bought?) Garage I bought car from a month ago has sent a new switch which has been fitted but still doesn't open the two other windows. The passenger’s windows do operate from their own switches.

Just over three weeks ago we purchased a late 2002 Mazda MPV. All was well until yesterday when we couldn't get any warm air from the heater. I checked the coolant level and found the header tank empty and it took a litre to refill, after which we started to get warm air back through the heater - obviously there wasn't sufficient coolant in the system to feed the heater matrix.
I then discovered a fairly significant leak coming from the rear of the car, as it's fitted with rear heaters. Today I informed the dealer from whom we purchased the car who says we only have a 'power-train' warranty on the car and we're not covered for this fault.... Read more

Hi all, does anyone have any idea if a nissan primera 2.0 engine from a 2002 sport will go into a almera sport+ 2002 previously a 1.8... im aware it would acually go in but what i want to know would the 1.8 mounts be the same as the 2.0 or if not could i use the 2.0 and put them into my almera also can i use the standard 1.8 gear box?

Ok, so just webnt to Halfords and replaced the aerial - no difference whatsoever. Could it be down the stereo unit itself?
I have noticed a leak coming from under the engine on the above car which I bought 2nd hand a month or so ago. It only happens when the car is parked after use. Any ideas on what this might be? Should I request the dealer that sold it repair it as I paid for an MOT under the previso that if anything is wrong with it they would fix it.
I am wandering what happened with the MOT though as I have already had a brake looked at by the dealer that was squealing and also there was a rear brake light out so it sounds to me as thought the MOT was done without any testing... ... Read more
