November 2009
Hi
I have a Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 110 from 2002.
Problems i have are loss of power in the lower end of the revs. When the car works its excellent 2nd gear and turbo :D but when not 2nd gear or all gears to be honest sometimes just won't push the car along foot right to the floor even. If i keep going until 3000rpm then the turbo kicks in and woosh lol sometimes this fixes it and the rest of the gears are fine or sometimes if i change to next gear it kind of pulls the car speed down. I've had a couple of times on the motorway at 70mph the car suddenly just lost power to an extent that i couldn't get past 65-70mph, then after a few minutes it picks up again. I have had the car since January 2009 and after a couple of months i started getting the dreaded diesel filter/anitpollution errors. I had the errors reset but obviously they have come back, but aren't always there. Someone i know is going to put it on their laptop diag software and get me the error codes.
Can anyone shead some light on possible problems? Read more

I know plenty of people who could very easily drive 5 miles less per week, simply by walking for the papers and walking their kids to school.
So maybe its aimed at them.
However it has caught your attention, you have thought about whether you could do it so the advert has, partly, worked.
And of course you don't need to cut short your journey to do less miles. You could car share so only driving every second day as an example. Read more
jbif, I read recently that someone had done just that estimate, and came up with 375,000 per week. I am not sure that even Pol Pot got near that rate.

I've just glanced through the road test of the Peugeot 5008 and been somewhat surprised at the number of uncorrected errors and spelling mistakes it contains.
Surely a little care checking over the copy before posting it on the website wouldn't go amiss?

Fine - Thank you I'll bring it to the attention of the person in charge.
I have a fault on the dash lights, its the display that shows the average mpg, outside temp etc. The whole dispaly has gone red, it used to flicker on and off but now permanently red. you can just about see the figures in daylight but not at night. Any ideas what might cause this fault. Read more
But surely if a bulb had blown the lights would all go out?
I have been given to understand that there is no congestion charge on the VW Polo 1.4 Diesel Blue Motion model and the Seat Ibiza 1.4 TDi ecomotive model
Is this correct?

No, they'd have to be electric, hybrid, hydrogen, LPG or CNG-powered to be exempt. However, they are in VED Band A, so they are road tax exempt.
Does any know if the Ford Focus CC (Cabriolet) 2006 front bumper can be a direct replacement for the Focus MKII 2006, just fitting wise? Read more

Until you have the codes it's hard to be sure but I would take a look at the vacuum solenoids to start with.
