Forum Dog Guards

Hi

Does anyone know the best place to buy a dog guard for a ford mondeo hatchback year 2000, I have looked all over and can find for year 2001 up but not 2000, have a boisterous lab and really need one. Universal ones no good. Read more

We use a Barjo cage with a removable partition to allow for transporting 2 dogs. A cage is much safer for transporting a dog. Our cage fits nicely into the back of a Focus Estate and the cage has a slopping rear side to help access and fitting.

They do hatchback cages to order so you should find what you need via the link below :

Is it possible to make the HID lights fitted to Renaults dip for continental driving? I know that some makes have a lever on the back of the fitting but I can't see any obvious thing on my Clio 3. I intend to drive at night both laden and unladen and the self levelling device makes a mockery of ant attempt to accurately blank out light with tape.

The car was working fine one day, the next day I tried starting it, it starts then stops. Something is cutting the electrical supply to the fuel pump after 3 seconds. Please can some one help? Read more

Hi,

I need a cabin/pollen filter for my 2001 Honda Civic (with ac). I have done a google for suppliers, but only come up with Puravent who want just under £28.00.

Does anyone know of any other suppliers to compare?

Please could someone let me know if the iDive system is as bad as is painted.
This morning a beautiful black 5 series BMW past me and I thought what a lovely looking car it is with very good people carrying ability etc and with reasonable economy for a car of it's class. I have heard so many negative comments shouted about the awkward iDrive. I am not good with computers unfortunately.
Also I wonder what engine one should buy for economy with both plenty of long distance and daily city driving. I see the 520D is good; but one report said it was a bit under engined. I'm not interested in enormous performance, mainly sensible reasonably legal driving. They also recommended an auto gearbox rather than the manual one.
I will be extremely grateful for any information anybody can tell me on the subject.

I am actually going along in the morning to look at one if they have one of the new ones in the showroom.I think the special suspension will give a very nice ride. Both that and the 3 series are very nice cars.
Your comments rtj70 certainly do help and I am very grateful.I actually have a great deal of respect for Mercedes, BMW and Audi. They all produce some superb cars and they watch each other like a hawk. Just wait for the new Audi A4 that is due to appear next year. They will have to replace the A6 after that. I love the advert of the A6 quatro on the ski slope. I love that advert!

My mums mazda mx5 overheated in traffic yesterday and after getting the AA guy out he concluded that the Fan control Switch was broken. This meant that the fan never came on when it was suppose to and thats why it overheated. He couldnt, however, find where the fan control switch was located on this particular car. Does anyone know?

Thanks,

yeah we have no problem getting the fan on.. we can just turn the air con on anyways so that shows the relay is fine. Just needed to know where the switch was that actually tells it to come on is. thanks, matt.

Did we give as much thought to choosing our partner as we do to choosing our cars. If your partner were a car what car would they be and what options would you have fitted? Be careful the mods. will be watching this like hawks so no comments about previous owners or test drives!! Read more

Is it me or is Peugeot getting away with murder. Seems to be selling loads of cars but they all look the same!! Since the 206,they've applied the same front to the 207, 307, and it's now happening with the 308??????????????
Makes me so glad to own an A3, at the side of Peugeots above they're as exclusive as Veyrons......
