Is it me or is Peugeot getting away with murder. Seems to be selling loads of cars but they all look the same!! Since the 206,they've applied the same front to the 207, 307, and it's now happening with the 308??????????????
Makes me so glad to own an A3, at the side of Peugeots above they're as exclusive as Veyrons......

For a manufacturer that once made great cars like the 205Gti and great looking cars like the 406 Coupe they've lost the plot entirely IMO.
There isn't a single car in their line up I'd consider buying and if one were foisted on me as a company car I'd be upset.
At least Renault make the Clio Sport and the hot Meganes. Citroen have the C6. Peugeot have nothing which is odd when you see some of the spectacular concepts they produce.

It's nice that poster who owns the 407 coupe is happy with it. However only a blind man or it's mother could say the inhouse design is better than it's Pininfarina penned predecessor.
Personally I wouldn't have one if it were free.

Havng seen the pinin penned 406 coupe yesterday, and the new 407 coupe today, I have to say they look equally as good.

But Pug is no worse than others - & 407, ESPECIALLY the SW, side on is striking!
& a good looking cr in white, too!

No, I agree with that. It's not exactly my cup of tea from the front, but credit to Peugeot for at least trying something different.
VW/Audi must be the most unimaginative manufacturer, honing the same design theories for decades. A very successful strategy, but certainly not imaginative.

The coupe looks good, the saloon is OK though the estate is a travesty, all would be improved with a less leary smile.

that's a bit unfair TVM, I'm sure there's a little more silver in the vacuous grille on the A6 than the A4. Or was it the A5. Or the Q7....er... or the TT....erm the A8?

I think most Peugeot styling is visually appealing - especially the coupe.
But the coupe is too low for my aching bones and I value reliability...

I have no problem with their styling.
I have a big problem that every modern Pug I have driven has been a massive disappointment dynamically compared to the 106, 205 and 306. Where's all the feel, and that lovely "tippy-toe" agility gone? Now they're just generic modern cars - competent, but forgettable.
I don't include the 407 in this, as I haven't driven one.

And 405, the interiors are also poor, pre facelift 307 interiors, also the 607 interior, no redeeming features.

Irmscher now do a mesh grill that effectively fills in the 'big gob' aspect of the 407. Makes a significant improvement to the car. Unfortunately, they haven't got around to producing one for the coupe yet. It 's certainly something that's on my shopping list when it arrives.

The front end styling is just out of proportion and it looks even worse on the smaller Peugeots.
The other aspect of Peugeot that disappoints and surprises me is the Citroen seem to be prepared to offer options on their range of diesels that Peugeot are somehow reluctant to follow. I refer specifically to the EGS and tiptronic gearboxes that are available on the C4 diesels but not, for some odd reason, on the 307.

I like the 407, especially the SW - it's bold and imaginative.
My Mum just got a 207cc last week in that nice turquoise colour with tan leather seats, and I was having a good look over it yesterday. My brother and I came to the conclusion that the front of the 207 is really quite bold and striking, and really quite attractive.
But of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you cannot criticise another persons taste/preferences as some posters have done. Each to their own, and all that!

Peugeot hit on a nice idea with their sharkish front but somehow the proportions are a bit awkward on the 207 and the 407, but they look just right on the facelifted 307, which looks much better than the slatted original. Most facelifts fail to improve on the original design but the 307 is an exception.

Saw a Police 407 today - it looked pretty sharp in its livery.....it sort of growled at PU's puny Landie as it belched smoke at him. The only things that was missing was a set of shark's teeth a la the WW2 Mustang. Fierce.

I am not sure a 407 2.0l hdi has quite the same growl as a 27.0l 12 cylinder supercharged 1500hp merlin engine.
